By all means, change your coolant to Prestone 50/50 or any coolant made for aluminum engines. The blue stuff just does not work and can cause problems.

The MSRP is just a number they give to confuse us. Look at the new cars and trucks, if they can give a huge discount then the price was too high to start with... Life is Good...

Hi....after the valves are adjusted, then you can adjust the idle. Trust me, I have over 10,000 miles on my scoot and the valves have been adjusted only once. Still running strong...Life is Good...

Well said....I have enjoyed my scoot and will continue to ride it daily. Of course, I have had some probs, but mainly I just installed other working add on's. Like manual choke, HID's, LED's and recovered the seat. We just don't produce much anymore, so the over the pond countries have to take up the slack. I am proud of 10,000 miles on my scoot and the past 5 yrs have been a bonding of East & West. Enjoy Your Ride....

My first motorcycle was a 1969 Yamaha DS6C 250 2 stroke, mid pipes and was called a scrambler. which I rode in 1975. I obtained my motorcycle license on it. I still have that bike and I am building a cafe racer out of it. I have most of the parts to enter the time warp and the parts are very hard to find. Time does fly....enjoy your ride.....

Welcome...you need to adjust the valves... .004 intake and .006 exhaust for the 250-257-300 Linhai (Yamaha clone). On the forums are instructions on how to adjust the valves. Let us know if you need more info or help. Enjoy the Ride...
