Hello guys!.
My name is Jose, and I am from Spain, currently living in DE. I had a Vespa 125cc in the past, sold it in 2003, and since then I have always wanted to get another scooter, but money or other circumstances made it impossible. Till today. I have just bought a second hand '08 Roketa MC-54 250cc. I plan to use it to go to work, 4 miles commute, and fun rides when the weather is nice. I am worried about having made a smart purchase or not, only time will give an answer. Meanwhile I will ask for your advice in this forum.
Thanks folks!!!

Hiya Jose! You've come to the right place to ensure your scoot remains a good purchase. (btw, are you in Germany or Delaware?)

Hahaha!!!
Delaware. You are right, it is quite confusing. I live in Wilmington, and I really think that my scooter is going to be the only one in the entire town. It was hard to find, and I think that it is also going to be difficult to find a garage for maintenance. I am not used to that, I come from a small flat city in South East Spain where the weather is beautiful and scooters are more popular than cars in the downtown.
Thanks for your welcome!!!

Haha!! This wrenching scares me. My old Vespa was air cooled, and the oil was mixed in the gas so I barely did any maintenance in 6 years. Fortunately, I work in a VoTech High School. We have a program of Engine Technology, one of the areas the work about is Motorcycle Repair. I have already talked to the shop teacher, it may cost me a couple of invitations, but I hope they are going to take care of it!!!

Welcome to the foru, Good to have you, yes the garage at the school will be more than happy to work on your scoot if anything goes wrong. They will learn and at the same time you get your scoot fixed(WIN WIN) Alleyoop

Welcome!
Treat that scooter right and it will treat you right.
Their is no doubt, your Vespa was etter built but you should get a lot of miles on the one you got now.
