Hello!
I live in Pennsylvania, near Pittsburgh. I started my 2-wheeled riding a bit late, at age 20, with a 1984 Garrelli Moped. In 1993 I was working at Walt Disney World in Florida, my VW Bus died, and I couldn't afford another car, so I bought the Moped for $200, and rode it 40 miles a day for 8 months. I moved back to PA, and couldn't get a title for the Moped, so it went into the garage, never to re-emerge. I went Big-Bore next, with a '76 Honda CB360T, '79 CB750F, '
CB700SC, a '75 Goldwing and two '78 Goldwings. I bought a '78 Motobecane 50v, because I missed my little moped, but hit the same DMV wall- no title from Ohio= No PA title. My next 2-wheeler was a 2001 Triumph Sprint RS, which met with an incident a few weeks ago, and is unrideable.
A few weeks ago my company changed its vehicle policy, so I can't bring my service truck home every day. I've been driving a '
Astro the 17 miles-each-way commute, but decided to get a scooter. That way, I can store it indoors in the shady neighborhood our shop is located in, and put it in the truck if I need to bring it home. (I can also carry it in our little motor home when we go camping!)Haven't gotten one yet, but I've been reading a lot of great info on here (ScootDawg forum, actually!) and will do a proper setup based on the recommendations. I can't wait to be smallbore again!
