Hmmm... Can't figure it out. Bones don't show, type mods like italic, bold face etc. don't show, and preview can't be accessed. My PC gets "updates" often with no choice of not accepting them. One must somehow have blocked these features. I can still post and edit. That will have to do for now. When I get time, I'll see what I can figure out. Thanks! Leo strange... must be related to browser. i'm using chrome Version 42.0.2311. m

idk geh, i mean from a pure profit point of view their is definitely a market for used parts on ebay. assuming everything was there then you might turn a very tiny profit reselling parts if bought for $300. now if you could get it for $100 then i would probably do it. you could keep the plastic and sell the parts or use as spare. title would make it slightly more attractive since the frame could be used/sold but it wouldn't be a deal breaker if right price.
but at $300, lol, no thx.

i think this might be your problem... or the opposite. he is tightening, you want to loosen.
your steering is locking up, yes? if so then i suspect the bearing is too tight. if possible i would take it back to the shop you bought it from and see if they will fix for free. if you decide to do the work yourself it shouldn't be too difficult if you have the right tools. the guy in the vid used a screwdriver and hammer. guess that'll work. lol...

bunch of vids on YT will show you how. watch many until you feel comfortable doing it yourself. once you understand how to do a valve adjustment the hardest part is working in a small space. after you do it a couple times it is very easy.

what part of the cover is the belt hitting? near variator, clutch or near the center? if the belt is hitting the cover near center then make certain both the clutch and variator open and close with little friction. if near variator or clutch then the belt is riding too high for some reason. and since you say you smell it at high rpm's then it sounds like it is riding too high in the variator. i've never encountered that problem so we will both have to do research to figure that one out.
9k rpm's is a bit much. you could increase the weights or install a stiffer contra spring. it's a balancing act when trying to tune the cvt.

pictures will be great! imo as long as the plates move freely/easily then you shouldn't have any problem mixing parts. i've had problem with a belt hitting the inside of the cover because the glides were worn out. this caused a great deal of friction making it difficult for the variator to open and close.
especially take pictures of the backside of the variator. i suspect mixing parts that were not the correct size may have caused extra friction and that will cause your belt to flop excessively hitting the cvt cover. at least that has been my experience.

maybe the clips that hold the piston pin in place? John you did concern me for a split second... but these pieces are too thin/small. i'm starting to suspect it's a foreign object dropped in the engine from the factory.

can you start it by jumping the solenoid? When I jump the solenoid the motor turns over but I do not have spark. i'm a noob with electronic's so probably don't want to take too much advice from me on this subject... it appears you had some help in the other thread and were unsuccessful at finding the problem. with that said... are you certain the wire you removed from the cdi isn't the cause of your problem? is it possible to hook up that wire to be certain? that's all i got for you. good luck!

fine here for me too. only glitch i've noticed lately is the arrow (page up/down) on the right fails to work sometimes. especially if you do a search and go past page 1 then the page up arrow fails to work. i use it often in that scenario because you have to go back to the top to change a page when using the search feature.

I once read before about someone who was able to adjust his speedo by opening it up and bending something. I'll try to find I again . we probably read the same thread. unfortunately i can't find it either. iicr he bent something under the dash. i don't recall the specifics.

Thanks good to hear you're healing quickly. it took me a long time to heal after my knee injury. were you wearing knee pads?
