Ok I was going to have to buy a speedo hub I figured since my OD and speed wasnt working anymore.
I figured I would just take wheel off and take the hub off and see if I could see anything broken in the speedo hub.
well I got to poking around and I seen on the wheel there is a do dad thingy that turns the inside thing on the hub and it was bent out of shape so I took it off straightened it and then bent back out the tabs things on it put the stuff all back together and OD and speedometer works again.
haha dodged a 25 dollar bullet lol, Im glad I was curios enough to take a look at it first before speeding the money.
so basically take it from me, and check it out first before spending money, could just be something bent out of shape lol.
Peace

I took pics, then put the screws in baggys and taped the baggys to each panel.
worked out great.

I never charge mine, unless its in the winter and I cant ride it then I hook it up to the battery maintainer.
I ride mine enough that it keeps it charged.

ok I figured out a fix maybe temp or long term who knows.
what I did was wrap black electric tape around them and it works great, totally eliminated the smell. the question is how long will it last, it atleast works for know till the tape starts breaking down.
I may just buy some better grips in the future depending on how long the tape works.
as of right now grips are on hold, cause I just noticed last night theat my speedometer Hub is not working any more. checked the connections and they are good so the money has to go toward buying that.
Peace

For some reason every time I ride scoot without gloves my hands have a really stinky rubbery smell to them.
The gloves when used stink as well after that, is there a way to get that smell off the grips.
anyone else have this prob?
Peace

here's a post from scootdawg forum that I copied into a word doc to help me at a later time. hope it helps some Ok very simple, leave the canister crap off you don't need it they just cause more trouble than they are worth. 1. Vent from the Fuel Tank-put a FUel Filter on the end of it and tie it up somewhere out of the way. 2. The hose that goes to the INTAKE MANIFOLD is your Vacumm - You need that. A. you need a "T" or a "Y" connector. b. The VACUMM hose connected to the INTAKE MANIFOLD nipple goes to the Bottom of the "Y" Connector or the Bottom of the "T". Then another hose From the Connector goes to your PETCOCK or FUEL PUMP whichever one you have. Then the Hose comeing from the Carb by the Throttle goes to the other OPEN NIPPLE on the "T" or "Y" connector. C. then connect the Fuel Line to the Carb which is coming from your Fuel Filter and from the PETCOCK or FUEL PUMP. The Bent hose on the side of the Carb is a Vent and Air intake hose that stays as is. The Hose at the BOttom of the Bowl is a Drain hose and it just hangs out.
