Last night on the way home from work i finally decided that i would hop on the interstate with KITT. I have to admit, i was scared a little at first. Then Kitt showed me why i shouldnt be. WOW!!! I only flowed with traffic, but at 70mph Kitt had PLENTY of power left if i needed it. And the new tires made it a very smooth ride. Im ready for long trips now.

I did a cross country ride (Run for the Wall) LA to DC, and an older gentleman rode a Majesty 400. Never skipped a lick and kept on running. Of course it's Hi Way rideable. Just ride safe

Congratulations BG! You're now officially in the "Big Wheel" club. (not as bad as people make out is it?)

Groovy... I recognize that intersection! My first thought was, "Hey, that looks like an intersection close to where my grandparents live." I came back to the thread and checked your location, and sure enough... Birmingham, AL

Change these out they will flat the tires when you hit high speeds. Yamaha dealers don't use those neither does the factory. That bike was built for high speeds all the way down to the stems... Now you can come visit me in New Mexico Big One and I can school you in the mountains... ;D

Yeah, don't swap out anything! I've gone on the interstate with less (a TaoTao ATM50, how's that for a change?), and did a 2 hour highway ride, after finishing a 3 hour normal ride. The scoot kept pace. Ever since my trust, even in chinese scoots has gone up. Now I run frequently on the highway with my 150cc, just as I did with my 250 on the interstate. The 150 can't keep up on the interstate, but just don't ride 100% WOT for too long. I try to keep a maximum pace of % of the top speed. (in my case 63MPH is top speed, I ride 55MPH on my 150, and it feels good).

The valve stems should have been replaced when they put the new tires on so you should be good to go unless the tire shop was a real hack. Tire tubes and valve stems are generally considered disposable items.

hmm about the stems, I keep losing air in my back tire. they have the bent stems.
im thinking its the stems but not sure, theres no damage to the tire and the tread is good.
