Then it sounds like the 8 8 jet is too rich at WOT. The popping noise could also be an air leak somewhere along the intake or the exhaust system. If you wore out any rubber grommets, gaskets or anything, they need to be replaced or repaired so they make a tight seal. These engines are sensitive to air and exhaust flow. Is the stock exhaust still on there?

Seems like it's running lean. What size main jet did you put in the carb?

Kymco makes good stuff too, but their price will be a bit higher new and used. I bought my agility 125 used with no dealer near me and it's still running great with 12,000 km on it, only doing regular maintenance. You could probably find a used super 8 150 for around $1000.

I don't know what language that was in on the video but I am assuming I might have an issue with the automatic chock? As for setting the idle when the engine is warm I did do that. But once the engine cools down it wont start unless I increase the idle speed back up and wait for it to get hot again before I readjust the idle speed back down. It sounds like your autochoke isn't working properly. Watch this video: itistheride.boards.net/thread/8355/gy-6-autochoke-works-testingWhat about the throttle cable? When you twist the handle and release it from various positions from 1/4 to a full twist, does it always rotate back to the idle position?

I did buy some from Ace. They were $3 for 5 which was enough to replace all of the grommets that fell apart. Thanks for the help.

Oh jeeze, that price is ridiculous. I'll buy a fleet of gas Chinese bikes for that price!

Periodically check that the 2 exhaust header pipe nuts and muffler bolts are tight. I can't stress that enough. My exhaust header pipe nuts came loose all the time last year. I put a bit of thread locker and lock washers on there to correct the issue. The muffler bolts come loose too. I'm not sure if there are any American companies that will make direct replacement carburetors for your scooter. That Deni carb is a nice Japanese direct replacement. I'd measure the ID of your fuel line in an area where it hasn't been stretched by a fitting. Replacing your fuel and air breather lines asap is a good idea.

That's a nice looking small bike. After some digging, I found that the MSRP is $4599.

Thanks for the input. I'm curious to see how much wear my stock belt has when I replace it next spring...

Hmm, I'll consider a Bando belt, although Matt on that forum was probably trying to push his product. I'd prefer to buy on Amazon since I can lump it in with xmas present orders. But, I did ask for a notification email when those belts are back in stock on partsforscooters.com www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00J6CFS2I/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hzaIs there any way to tell if these belts are made in China or Japan in the link above?

Both of these have the same P/N and have "Gates" on the packaging. Is one a copycat with cheaper kevlar and rubber? I'm looking to order one now and install it in the spring.

That is a cool bike for the $. Old technology but, it's still a new bike. I like this enduro more store.cscmotorcycles.com/CSC-TT250-2018-p/ztt250-2018.htmI'm also 6' 4" so i need all the leg room that I can get. I primarily ride in the city so I may be looking at a 250 in the future. My 150 does the job for now. I agree with oldchopperguy, there isn't much of a market for these small bikes in the US. They're regarded as small, underpowered bikes that serve beginner riders. The status quo is to upgrade to something bigger once they improve their riding skills. I really liked having my ZR-7 out in the country where I could drive fast and aggressively on county roads with winding turns. As soon as I moved to a city and started commuting with it, riding it sucked. That's why i sold it. I really do think my 150 scooter serves that purpose much better.
