I replaced my stock tires with pirelles they where the same size, but the pirellies are taller than the China cheapies my tire is now on the ground on the center stand where it wasn't with China tires. It may be faster it may not be, but it made my speedo more accurate.

Buford does special things to the heads which sadly you can't buy anymore, my scooter has one of the last ones made by Buford. Hopefully he starts up on his own, buford if you do let me know I can help set up a website. Mine is even coated and keeps my oil cleaner for longer.

On my 50s I ran stock heads with the airsal kits, ran big valve 50mm combustion chambered heads on my 52mm kits and two base gaskets.

I ran bigger combustion heads and two base gaskets with my 52mm kits I tried the stock head with the domed 52mm kit and had the same issue. Be careful kick starting I busted my CVT cover on one with the high compression. If the wires don't work your gonna need a head with at least a 44mm combustion chamber I ran a 50mm combustion chamber big valve head.

Compression will lower the more miles you put on it, I had to upgrade the power wire and ground. I also grounded the starter right to the battery.

I don't see why not run 16/50 with a 80cc kit probably will gain a few mph. I've tried different gears on 50's and 150's never noticed any take off loss.

You can leave the overflow alone and the vacuum hose or hoses are one the intake manifold the rubber piece the carb is on. The port is probably the valve cover vent leave it open also.

Gas, carb drain and non brass, the one you have marked vac is the overflow.

You will have to max the 50cc big valve head gear upgrade and all to reach 50, might as well get a 150 would be cheaper.

Hope you start up the business I'm sure a lot of people here would buy a Buford head. When I let of the throttle my scoot sounds like its taking a deep breath beautiful sound.

I take mine on the 55 mph highway no problem its fairly stable and I keep up and even pass cars. The semi's usually go slower than my scooter and can outrun them. I wouldn't attempt to go in a 70 zone.

It would be a better ride with two shocks, doubt it would be dangerous I had two galaxy 50cc scoots 12inch wheels made for two shocks, even had the mount for it. They ran fine on one shock but I'm sure would of been smoother with two.

I was out riding today a guy in a 1300 gsxr pulls beside me revs the motor and points light turns I get smoked badly. I did catch up after we hit the highway was right behind him I'm sure he let me. We got off the exit and hit another light he said I have the fastest scooter he's ever seen so i felt good. But even a maxed scoot can't compare to a crotch rocket but mine does what I need it to do, he said he was doing around 70 and I was right behind him so I'm happy. A crotch rocket may be in my near future.

If it went faster before you gunned it and now its slower its either the rings or valve gap.
