Just something to ponder . . . Powermax 150 muffler attachment design leaves a lot to be desired! Many (but not all) similar 150 IceBear's and Znen's utilize a 2-strap muffler hanger design. But the elements of both designs are subject to heat cycling and vibration fatigue . . including the 2 header pipe cap-nuts on the cylinder head vibrating loose. Performance CDI's and ignition coils are typically a waste of money . . 15W-40 oil works just fine!

If the internal petcock diaphragm is deficient . . that would allow gas to bypass the carb via the vacuum line.

Burgman is gone, now have a 2014 Harley-Davidson Sportster 1200 Touring. So are you implying that the Burgman was waaay to smooth . . and that a 883cc butt massager is more compatible with your criteria?

it's laying in the mud where I kicked it, and that's where it's going to stay Accept defeat, donate to a regional high school auto shop class, and move on. DO NOT tinker with a future replacement scooter . . other than routine maintenance!

Sooo perplexing . . especially when fuel-timing/spark-compression have all been verified . . and the engine will not fire-off on starting fluid! Hope the tank was not accidently refilled with diesel, exhaust is not obstructed, or vacuum petcock diaphragm is not deficient.

valves had made contact with the piston breaking both valves, the valve guides, the piston and severely damaging the head and cylinder . . timing is perfect If you have not already done so . . verify flywheel-crankshaft woodruff key is not sheared (which throws off ignition timing). Insert a probe into sparkplug hole, rotate piston to top, then observe if flywheel T-mark is aligned with case indicator.

new taotao 150 . . larger performance carburetor and exhaust . . opinions Exercise in futility . . you have already made up your mind! There is no cure for OTS (obsessive tinkerers syndrome) . . just the desecration of relatively reliable transportation into an aggravating pile of excrement!
