sounds like it ought to be a runner. You must be getting pretty good at making one of these engines kick a bit of A. Do you sell all the pieces? What do you guess you have done to the performance?
Cheers

The best and cheapest protection of any air cooled engine is to make sure it does not run lean, particularly as high power output. A little rich really helps a bit. Check the plus after a short hard run, should at least be a little coffee color. If I am really hard on it, I would like a lttle carbon better than a white plud.

Not only will running rich not hurt anything, it really helps it both develope max power and run a little cooler. It shure help an air cooled engine a lot. You don't need $10.plugs, but I supose a spare plug would always be a good idea.

I am always cautious of unbranded stuff. It takes only a very small error to make a part that comes appart and ruins a lot of work and much more than the cheap part. Whenit does not have a good warrenty and a name you trust behind it, I say forget it. The cheapest stuff is that that works well for along time. Even my time is to valuable to do many things more than once. sorry

Sorry , we seem to have lost our library. Maybe you need to go to scoot proffessor and search their library.

IMHO you hit it on the head about saving up and buying sdomething hearty and dependable. If you insist on riding a 50cc pay attention ot what Hank is riding. Of course that is not cheap. You might get lucky and find a good used one that is not wornout. 2t tend to wear a bit faster than I lile..
8 miles on a 50cc china scoot in the rain and wanting reliability. Do you work? If so , does you boss like to guess when you will be to work? If not be carefull abotu the unfamiliar names. Ges a Japan name or Italian. To a great degree much of all of them are made in Chinaa, but under tight control and not the cheapest.
If you don't believe me, please take your time and wait till our membership grows and you hear what other newbes experience from the cheaper China brands
Cheers

I is good to see many of the people we have had around for a couple of years now. I do hate that we lost all our history and much of our library. I always liked to be able to pull up something that had been written earlier or old pictures. Seems I am always trying to straighten out less that first rate mechanicing - sometimes even one of my projects have hung around long enogh for me to have forgotten how to heck if was. Oh well, it won't be long till history repeats itself. Cheers

The problems that get posted here will help determine what is needed. Hopefully we will attract some people who are trained and experienced and patient and willing to do all the hard work of writing and posting to pass along information. It would be nice to rescue reports from our past and put them in the library here. I am thinking of several great reports about aftermarket EFI and upgrading 125/150 class scoots as well as 50cc upgrades, upgrading the charging system as well as sever really good troubleshooting stories.
Terrie you perhaps copy and paste the story of the saga about Chrissy. Thst story is now perhaps 2 years old and I will bet it is half forgotten by even you but I seem to recall your were getting pretty desperate. It is a story worth repeating in detail. Blow by blow. Just as Hank's loss of a scoot and the hunt for a replacement is part of my history. I am not sure, but in view of the replacement, perhaps it was for the best after ll.
I think there is more than a little valuable stuff in our history
Just imho.

Yes it is strange where everyone is a newbe. But of course, the few "old timers" from other sites help me feel at home. We will see how this works shortly. I lkle the toneof our new name better so maybe it will help set the tone of the site and remind us all it really is all about the ride. Raining and stormy here in North West Florida today
