Frankly, you did a great job of troubleshooting and looking thing over. How many time have we gone nuts trying to figure out what wrong and failed to see obvious things. A l;ot of mechancis is really just lookng at everything carefully. Of course it helps to have some idea how it should look.
Good work

Debt Load

It is not the credit card that is the problem, It it the out of control pending that too much easy credit may encourage. In fact, I use my credit cards as an interest free loan for up to around 30 days. IN perhaps 30 or 40 years of carrying several cards, I have never paid one cent of interest on a credit card.. For 20 years I nearly 100% avoided borrowing money as I built a business that when it was "full blown" I needed to be able to carry nearly $300,000 accounts receivable by careful and skill full use of my credit cards and care full management of cash flow. On Friday evening every bill was paid in full except the cards. twice I had to run a note through the bank for 10 or 15 G. In short I used around 15K of credit card debt to let my business be bigger faster and make more customers happy while I am my staff made more money, Last year Janet paid for a round trip to Italy from credit card points. No interest paid. Of course, both of us are cheap skates and careful spenders. So credit cards acrtually made me money. Cheers lefty2

It really helps if you would learn some simple rules and ways to destcribve things so we know what to H=== you are talking about. When you do not know the difference between the enginew running and the starter turning you can't even tell us simple things. I feel like saying - go hire a mechanic.

40 MPG confirms she is not running very efficently. Now no 2t is near as effecient MPG wise as a 4t ( assuming equal design criteria. But many small "errors" can really screw up the efficiency of a 2 T. I agree a sxeems awfully large, and a little blow by will really screw up a 2t. Ive worked up outboards a bit and I am very fussy about piston fit and bore being true.

You either learn to work neatly and orderly of yu don't. Scoots can be difficult. Just got to be smarter and more patient and bullheaded than unthinking metal. But notice, you got lots of good information here.
You are welcome

Put simple, if they are to dumb to tell us what they are running they are not smart enought to use good advise. I just ignor the fools. I sort of like the mix. Some sharp guys comming on with 50's. We been mixing for a ling while and I think it works pretty good. I like all the scoots.

Myself, I would listen to the MFG. I'll bet they know a bit you don't. and it really can be a mess if one goes on the road. Besides, did you ever try to push one of these a mile?. I;d get a belt and perhaps a few more things and get organized and tackle it the first rainy day near that magic mile mark.
