Yes,
Tape and zip-ties are always useful.
May I ask Mr. Florida, How much time have you spent working on this scoot as opposed to riding it?
Sometimes mods are a bad thing.....
PRO TIP----- when you change everything, it's hard to find the original issue and get what you want. Throwing parts on just because you can is not always the best idea.
Modding a scoot/car/bicycle is a great way to have fun and learn how things work. Once you know what you want, the goal can be reached. JMHO

Indeed, with a dead battery, the purchase of a new one may help if it won't hold a charge. Then again, if you do get a new battery and it still wont turn over, other issues may be to blame.....
Take the current battery to a local auto parts store if you can, normally they can test/charge it for free. Personally, I like having the kickstart in decent working order for just this type of issue. Most scoots can be started without electricity if you know how.
Does the Kick have any tension when used? You said it comes back up which is what it is supposed to do. Try kicking it lightly around 3 times and see if it gets harder to push down. --- this is just the first basic step without taking things apart----
BTW, WELCOME!!!!! I assume this scoot is new to you so, exciting new adventures await!!!!! Just do some research and ask lots of questions.
Be safe and GOOD LUCK!!!!

Please, Please, Please,
Take Kat's advice on riding gear. You make thousands of trips on the road but, road rash is permanent after only 1 mistake.
A Popular Youtuber (M13) recently crashed on a scooter. It didn't look bad but, Two broken femurs and 5 fingers later he is still riding because----- He dressed for the slide not the ride.
Get your protection on lockdown first. ( insert cliche here ) Then follow it.!!!!

Sure, you can use a different width. Just double then, tripple check there is no rubbing issues.
PLEASE, call/contact the Parts dealer to verrify fitment and return policy before you order though.
Good Luck and be safe!!!!

This is not a common issue I have seen. ( I am no expert ) Is there anyway you could take a picture or video? Can you put the stock exhaust back on for testing? No bike should be without a center stand IMO unless you have airbags and a wide stance....... Out of the box solution-----!!!! May ruin exhaust !!!!------ A small dent in the header pipe with a hammer could solve the rubbing issue. (old school redneck engineering) I would NOT recommend this option but a decent amount of heat (like a welding flame) and a hammer can fix most problems for a while Let us know how it goes I am very interested in a solution because the china side stand is known to fall off with regular use........ Good Luck friend!!!!!! Keep us updated!!!!!

Most modern scoots are tubeless. Have them check the valve stems while you're at it.
I would strongly suggest going by the numbers on the scoot itself. Maybe call around to local tire dealers/scoot shops if you can. Lots of cool things can be done with tyres these days-- Adding rubber, stretching, custom tread, have your logo on the sidewall, etc... money spent is the only obstacle.
Low profile, White walls, Winter, Summer, All season tread, the possibilities are endless. A decent pair of Michelin's from an honest dealer is the best way to go IMO.
You have a 12 inch rim and a 3.5 inch width tire. Ordering online and having the install done at a shop can save some money but, A decent tire shop with labor will cost around the same amount with a warranty!!!
Just my 5 cent opinion.
Good Luck and keep it rubber side down!!!!

Much like fuses in a car, it's a security feature. Seems much easier to replace a blown fuse instead of a fried wire IMO.
A lot of folks replace that round fuse with the other type (I forget the tech term) during the PDI.
If you get the wrong size battery for example or hook up anything backwards (black to red) the fuse will blow to protect the electrical system. That way it's much cheaper to repair. A 1$ fuse compared to tracing down an electrical gremlin is indeed a decent cost saving safety feature.
Good Luck friend and Ride safe!!!!!

Here is the chain
These vids are about 5 years old so, better stuff is now availible.
Keep in mind the lock and chain is around the same cost as a 50cc scoot anyway not including shipping.
Fun to dream though

Just a quick thought....... Sometimes a scooter alarm is more trouble than it's worth..... (constant battery drain).
Do you by chance have a battery charger? A Battery Tender or something like that ?
Side note---- Heck brother you didn't even get the old battery trade in discount... You were able to ride though... Keep your chin up JD, it could always be worse.
Stay safe

That type of connection is mainly used for the solenoid (that round thing) or battery. Black to black, red to red....... I maybe wrong just a guess......
Why did you need a new starter?

Long jail terms DO NOT prevent crime...
During the draft, many kids were also dodging it....
Just because you are supposed to do something doesn't mean it will be done.
Sorry for going so off topic. I apologize and feel for the loss of all people.. Luck runs out at some point and a price is paid.
Sad day for all involved I'm sure.
