I just bought a 2006 verucci avispa50 sport. I have found a few problems thus far. Of which the greatest seems to be difficulty find a belt that matches what I just pulled out of the trans. I am looking a 788 16.6 gates powerlink. Please tell me if I can use a different width belt.

Sure, you can use a different width. Just double then, tripple check there is no rubbing issues.
PLEASE, call/contact the Parts dealer to verrify fitment and return policy before you order though.
