Whelp, I'm getting annoyed with my junky forks...theyre just way too soft. Sitting on the bike compresses them, and I can easily bottom them out just standing over the bars and pressing down. I know a lot of people use heavier oil, but won't that just change the rebound/dampening effect? I really just want a stronger spring which seems unavailable. Would putting a washer under the spring make them OK? Has anyone else tried that?

Now if you could just figure out how to make my standard gy6 telescopic forks halfway decent lol. Mine are so soft, they bottom out easy, and just sitting on the bike compresses them considerably

Yeah,2 strokes shouldn't have so many laws...I'd love a medium displacement 2 stroke that's street legal...maybe I can find an old dual sport idk. But if a giant SUV is legal, and people can drive their SUVs with zero passengers in the damn city then I should be able to drive 2 stroke as much as I please. really... If coal plants are allowed and people have little restriction on power usage why should road emissions be so stringent it makes no sense to me

The zuma and ruckus clones are good lookin Imo. But I agree that a lot of body styles are kinda lame. I like the ruckus clone because it comes set up modified with all the goodies like a 150gy6 that stretches It out and a fat tire, low seat, light mods etc. all of which ruckus people spend thousands on, and all that on top of the ridiculous sticker price for the honda. I think its brand snobbery and bragging rights to have the real ruckus because its a "honda" even though they swap a china motor into it lol that or they just got money to throw around. maybe the frame is better but not like over 2k better lol. Id love a real ruckus to swap a gy6 into and stretch etc...just not at the price.

Lol ive never tried a buddy. I see em around town all the time though. Most people in my town have ancient honda elites or newish buddys.Im not too big a fan of the vespa body style really which takes a lot of rly good riding scooters off my list. I dont like the look of most sporty or maxi scoots either. I guess I like the more rugged and minimalistic ones. what I like about my gy6 is being able to cheaply modify to keep me occupied I enjoy researching and working on it. From wbat my friend tells me for his zuma the prices for parts are outrageous and the price he pays for fuel injection is having to get it illegally remapped and such which few mechanics round here will do. Seems like a chore. I love the simplicity of china scoots and tbe dirt cheap price of parts.

And I didnt like it!!! I have a much less refined and cheaper ssr zuma clone thats a 150 and ride with a buddy who has a real 125 zuma. although his fuel injection is nice and gives smoother throttle response through all the revs. I couldnt stand tbe steering it feels both heavy and twitchy. Just not steady at all. Much harder to hold a good line with. The steering on mine feels much steadier and stable through the line like a traditional motorcycle. I think my bike has a longer wheelbase as his floorboard was more cramped, and im not even a tall dude only 5-6. Despite the more refined engine and good build quality of his I actually prefer mine in terms of how it rides, and its also much cheaper and easier to modify.
Just some observations I made. The real zuma was prettt nice, I thought when I got on it would blow me away witb its quality but I wasnt all that impressed. Only thing I liked was the smoothness of the fuel injection. its no doubt more reliable, but since im pretty mechanically inclined and view working on my scoot as a hobby I dont mind the gy6. Chinese bikes arent all that bad:) as long as you know what youre getting in to. Im personally glad I got the clone it suits me better than the yamaha, and the price suits me better too lol. Anyone else wana comment on their ride quality chinese lr otherwise?

Check out the yamaha sniper. www.yamaha-motor.com.ph/product/snipermx/135cc liquid cooled five speed gearbox. They race the crap outa these lol. I wish the scooter market was bigger here so we could get awesome scoots, and so theyd maybe get competitive with pricing. I can dream I guess.

The rowdy probably would be a bit too slow for you. Ive read ppl saying they only go around 50mph so youd have to modify it to go the speeds you want. Although my gy6 150 is fast around town and can top 60mph in perfect conditions..conditions arent always perfect. I did some mountain riding today and if I couldnt keep my momentum on the rly steep parts Id slow down to only 30mph it sucks. If youre riding in a hilly area youll need a bit more power than a gy6 150. Also, my friend has a real zuma 125, and I have a 150 zuma clone, and they are about equal in power because the yamaha is fuel injected and just a better design. But still the 125 and 150 will lag on hills big time

Doooooo it! If I wasnt a broke student id have a nice sport bike or dual sport in a heartbeat. The yamaha fz09 is freakin awesome....me wants. I like the bolt and new honda cb that looks all old school too. love the triumph scrambler as well. And if money aint a thing the ktm superduke makes me drool. The problem for me wouldnt be if I should buy one, but which bike to buy lol

No idea but good luck. That thing is sweet! When its all prime it'll make an awesome cafe racer tomahawk thing. Is it a 110? Or like 50 or 70?

Was the rear rack designed for the original Zuma? I'm curious because there's nice grab bars and custom stuff for the Zuma that I like but I'm not sure if they'd fit on my clone

Haha. Yeah some people are sketchy when they split. Technically you're supposed to go no more than ten miles n hour faster than traffic. Its completely safe if done safely but a lot of ppl just dont really care and risk it. I see a lot of shoulder riding too to get past traffic Lol. I regularly see motorcycles in the bike lane, and Lil I saw one dude happily cruising on the sidewalk for like a mile one day.
