Check out the yamaha sniper. www.yamaha-motor.com.ph/product/snipermx/135cc liquid cooled five speed gearbox. They race the crap outa these lol. I wish the scooter market was bigger here so we could get awesome scoots, and so theyd maybe get competitive with pricing. I can dream I guess.

Ya Know, I always thought the same thing.
The EPA/DOT has desimated USA availability of anything "cool" at decent price point. (Aerox as an example)
Try getting A Honda Cub--- (Most popular vehicle ever made)
Silly politics........ Even though these small displacement vehicles are more efficient than any SUV available, they are an issue to the corporate bottom line.
Just sayn.

Random inquiry, Does anyone think the recent China Port explosion will affect shipment of new product?

Interesting, this looks like Yamahas version of the Honda Wave which was the successor for the Cub/Passport. You'll prolly never see it here as that category just doesn't seem to sell well. Cub clones sell to retro lovers, but i don't think anyone else even gives them a second thought, and Waves bombed as they weren't a scooter, nor a motorcycle. I love them, but i must be the only one as nobody imports them here.

Heck,
If only a 2 stroke vehicle was allowed in the USA, Forget the Gass guzzling SUV's that are commen place today, Go back to the 1950's when a small displacement motor would easily do 56 MPH while sipping on gas.....
Today motors can still do the same, Even better. Yet folks say a 50cc can not do 50 mph....... Hrummphhh. I disagree.
For some reason, "off road use only" is the most efficient choice......... and Illeagle. Why?

Yeah,2 strokes shouldn't have so many laws...I'd love a medium displacement 2 stroke that's street legal...maybe I can find an old dual sport idk. But if a giant SUV is legal, and people can drive their SUVs with zero passengers in the damn city then I should be able to drive 2 stroke as much as I please. really... If coal plants are allowed and people have little restriction on power usage why should road emissions be so stringent it makes no sense to me

Somebody (seems like a Taiwan maker) introduced a near-clone of the Honda Cub a couple years back. My dealer sells Kymco, SYM, and Genuine (Buddy/Stella) and he had several. They were VERY attractive. I'll see if I can find the brand, and if they're still available.
He also had a few 2-stroke Stellas, SLICK, but they are now gone.

PS: OK, I found the Cub-style bike. It's the SYM "Symba". 101cc, very similar to the Honda Cub. Not cheap ($2,200 or so) but if that's the little bike you want, at least it's made by a major maker. You can google Moxie Scooters (where I got my Kymco) for more info. Moxie is a GREAT B&M store!

"The Honda Super Cub is a Honda underbone motorcycle with a four stroke single cylinder engine ranging in displacement from 49 to 109 cc (3.0 to 6.7 cu in).
In continuous manufacture since 1958 with production surpassing 60 million in 2008, and 87 million in 2014, the Super Cub is the most produced motor vehicle in history".
The SYM Symba is a variant of the Honda Cub and SYM is one of a few companies presently that have permission to produce their version.
SYM Motors of Taiwan licensed the Super Cub design as the Symba 100, previously called the Symba 110, which they exported to the US. While keeping the basic design, SYM increased the size of the front brake from 110 to 130 mm, and added an LED fuel gauge. Instead of leading link front forks, it uses telescopic forks. The Symba engine has a carbureted 101.4 cc single claimed to produce 6.5 hp at 8500 rpm, with a four speed gearbox using a centrifugal clutch semi-automatic transmission.

Side note----- Random inquiry, Does anyone think the recent China Port explosion will affect shipment of new product? It shouldn't hurt much, if anything. 99% of the scooters are coming out of Ningbo or Shanghai ports.

Silly politics........ Even though these small displacement vehicles are more efficient than any SUV available, they are an issue to the corporate bottom line." Efficiency is one thing, emissions are quite another. These little 2 and 4 stroke carb engines pump WAY more greenhouse gasses out than their larger 4-Wheeled counterparts. More efficient, yes, cleaner, no.

Meh, but when you factor in that scooters use less materials and energy to produce im willing to bet that manufacturing and running an suv is worse than a scooter especially when people feel the need tl buh the latest model every year. If greenhouse gasses were really the issue wed have electric power rationing among all kinds of other restrictions. I think most stuff the epa does is heavily influenced by lobbyists and dubious motives rather than a genuine concern for the environment. It seems like tthey crack down on some things, but turn a blind eye to things like the bp spill and corexit spraying

Yeah, remember the BP spill and it was all over the news for months. EPA spills toxic waste into the river a few weeks back. Already not headline news.
