Can anyone tell me how much space .161 grams of air and .0916 ml of gas takes up ? The air is the hard part. not if you know 1 cubic foot of air at standard temperature and pressure assuming average composition weighs approximately 0.0807 lbs or 0.0366 kg 28317cc per cubic foot 28317 divided by (36.6gram /0.161g) equals 124.56 cc of air just about what you would expect on a 150cc with less than 100 percent volumetric filling efficiency

4-5 is kinda the transition point from the idle circuit to the main jet, raising/lowering the needle to see if it helps hurts isnt a bad plan...and wont effect WOT mix too much
most my stock and replacement carbs seem to come with a 108

if you ran it without oil getting to the head i would seriously inspect the cam and lifters, and check the valve springs. of course i wont rule out a jacked cylinder but thats mainly splash lubed, so fingers crossed.

the factory carbs, even the blocked off ones are no problem, you can drill and easy out the bowl screws,(or a pair of vice grips) and the air fuel mix brass plug has been described above....
I dont buy into the whole it saves time just ordering an aftermarket carb bs....unless you got a shop in town...otherwise you wasted the 3 days waiting on it and the 30 or so dollars cause you didnt wanna spend 5 minutes on it... the factory ones once de-neutered are fine running carbs
now i have enough scooters that i have a small parts department in my garage of spares and keep 1 or 3 spare carbs half a dozen belts etc etc...but thats a another story

even though all markings showed 50cc the law in Nevada restricts 50cc to 35mph. Most states have a 49cc limit and a MPH limit, thats why the old honda ns50 had to be registered in almost every state, stock it will do 50 to 55mph. most the 50ccers break the limit which is usually somewhere around 30-40 when they tune their scooter, remove the limiters etc, etc. I love the hypocrisy of the insurance/ registration argument

catch up... we all pull the complete system off. no freaking rubber plug cause the system is pulled all the way off back to the fuel tank and the intake elbow. its gone maybe an air box vacuum line hooked to the pvc, one for the carb and one for the fuel pump or fuel cutoff valve depending on what you got...and 1 fuel line, everything else is stripped off, and there is more than one style. if you got 2 nipples in the intake elbow, the thing the carb is attached to use one nipple for the carb slide, and the other for the fuel system (pump or fuel cut off) ..dont have to plug nothing, got only one, gonna have to use a splitter,
cut the metal tube off at the head and stick a piece of metal between the head and the fitting flange and its done.
just because you watched a video doesn't mean we have any idea what you or he was talking about... frankly i have done over a dozen scooters and have no idea about what you speak, there are several nipples for vaccum lines depending on where this random video guy stopped, so for plugs i typically just thread a bolt into a rubber hose that fits the nipple. the real ones are sold at auto parts stores, and called vacuum caps.
what goes thru them is air, it injects fresh air into the hot exhaust, rich with oxygen to burn off and unburnt fuel and help complete combustion

technically you had to register and insure it when you put the bbk on and broke the 49cc barrier, so running the outlaw 150 (150 debadged to look like a 50) is not any different than what you are already doing..... if ya wanna play the law and proper card.
BOOM drop mike on floor.

ok, those simply use a set of craptastic shocks, frankly they wear out fast and dont got a lot of umph behind them, the rear shock from the venice, milano... these little bastards and quit a few other rear shocks are with in a half inch to inch in length off those fronts, easy bolt on and it looks like a springer front end arrangement much like the classic vespas which used a coil spring type shock but the chrome cover usually wont fit back on over the fatter shock, so a yellow or chrome one is a good choice, I have a la vie with that front end that needs to have it done in the next couple of days, but they have enough power to keep the tire in contact with the road, and do max braking without bottoming out. I typically only put one of the rear springs in front, havent tried two, one works good, might give it a try.

personally and this is just me, i am in the say climate as you, but way higher in elevation....106 seems small, i would be shimming the needle up, you might be to rich but with your symptoms i usually increase fuel and they go away, trail and error thou...good luck.
i have 6 to 8 scooters depending on the day, and i typically run, a drilled exhaust, tuned variator and 108 to 112 jet
i think your enricher is shutting off and then your losing that aux fuel source and slowing down.

all my linhai 250 carbed scoots easily do 75+, and i usually buy them broken for under 300 dollars, and fix them cheap....of course i own a real motorcycle when i wanna go faster, cause scooter brakes don't exactly stop on a dime.

rcq have you seen the springer mod for the front of those classics, a friend of mine ce came up with it.... it was on the old forum...really keeps the front in contact with the road.
