UPDATE: Still ticking with over 10,000 miles racked up. Still all original ignition components, and the eleven fill ups so far this season have averaged 87.19 mpg. Valves have 7,500 miles since last adjustment was made, still read .004"and .005" at annual checkups. Still looks new, and runs much better than new.

Well Lain....I'm a gezzer, and just purchased my first smart phone a couple of months ago. The only reason I did it then, was because I was notified by my carrier that, in short order, my old phone wouldn't work on the network. I had to upgrade to something more modern.
I like my new android phone, but it will never be used to it's full potential......at least not by me.
I would still feel better about having a $10 or $20 piece mounted on the scooter.......and my multi-hundred dollar unit, tucked away in my pocket.

If it really bothers you, and you don't want to strap an expensive smart phone to the handlebars, you can try something like this..... bike computer Once you enter the circumference of your front tire, the speedo, and odometer would be dead on. Change to a higher, or lower profile tire.....enter new circumference, and you're good to go. I'm tempted to get one myself, just because I like gizzmos.

Yesterday, after 785 miles since last done, oil change number 20 was performed. Still running as good as ever, and no signs of wearing out are apparent. I have made a habit of checking exhaust header nuts, as well as muffler/swing arm mounting bolts, for snugness, at oil change time. After reading what Jerry went through recently, I pulled the spark plug cap and made sure it was snug too. Also removed, cleaned, and reoiled the foam pre-cleaner, that is wrapped around my K&N cone air filter.
9,716 breakdown free miles and counting.

Sure sounds like an accelerator pump problem. Think I would spend the $21 for a new carb......then fiddle around with the one you have now, if you want to have a spare handy. 50cc Carb

Once removed, replace with stainless allen cap screws. I did both top and bottom on my two CVK Keihin 32mm carbs.....that are on my Ural. They took m4 by 12mm (float bowl), and m4 by 8mm (carb top). Next time I have the plastic off of the scoot, I will see if it doesn't take the same size, for I bought 20 of each. (almost certain it does) Picked these up at a place like the one linked: link
Wow I just noticed how old this thread is. Hope this poor guy got it all figured out before now.

Loads of scooter key blanks on ebay and at scooter parts dealers. Do some careful measuring, and searching, paying attention to listed dimensions.....then order. Take the blanks to any hardware store, along with your working key, and they will cut to match.

Or you can leave it stock, as some of us do. I'm an old school kind of guy.....if it ain't broke...don't fix it. Into the 5th season with my (breakdown free) Chinese wonderment, it is now at 9510 miles with all original ignition components, always starts on first bump of starter button, idles, runs, and pulls hills great. The mileage in the Fuelly Banner below, covers the period from April 2014 through now. Well over 6000 consecutive miles and 60 some fillups, you can click on the banner for more details. Just filled it again today......91.6 miles, took 1.035 gallons, = .5 mpg. This is with the original NGK, standard copper core plug. Not saying I haven't modified anything......as I do run a K&N air filter, and a 115 main jet, just saying you don't really need a bunch of fancy parts to have a well running, dependable scooter.

I didn't order any rims. They are the ones that came on it from the factory. My scooter is a Jonway, Milan style, (as in Lance Milan), or Znen model 150T-F, or Roketa MC-65-150, or the Motorino Riviera at Valley Scooters. Anyone who sells these should have wheels for their scooters. They are all three spoke, 12" aluminum, disc brake, wheels. This link is a scoot just like mine....in fact... bought mine from this site 4+ years ago. I know they carry parts for the machines they sell. You'll have to ask the seller you go with, about the bearings.

I wouldn't spend more than $25 on a new one. There are lots of us out here, running the cheap carbs that came on our China scoots, without a problem. A $300 engine doesn't need a high end carb.
I haven't needed to touch my carb in 4 years.....hasn't even needed cleaning. But, (1) I will not run gas that contains ethanol, and (2) I add 4/10ths of an ounce of MMO every time I fuel up. Scooter starts, idles, and runs just great, even after our long Western New York winter hibernations.

Lain....my scooter has disc brakes on both ends, and the same 12" x 3.5" wheel on the rear, as yours does. However my front one is stamped 12" x 2.75", so you better check both of yours again before ordering.

Congratulations, I reached 15k on my 150 this Thursday, I have kept the internals to original state, but keeping up with the maintenance is a good hobby for me. With summer just setting in I may reach 20 before its gets cold again. I think you deserve a pat on the back as well. 15k on a 150, tells me you are doing something right.... not only are you keeping up with the maintenance, but you're probably operating it, as was intended. I noticed neither you, nor tankcommander, had anything in your posts similar to "gps verified 65 mph"......maybe some of the newer riders will notice this also, and take a minute to think about it, before they pee-pee their money away on racing do-dads. Anyway, congratulations to you too..

As far as the rubber is concerned, I'd say it depends on where it has been stored for the last 8 years. No matter how well stored, probably not quite factory fresh..........but.........I made a somewhat similar purchase last fall. It was a 2006 Ural, had never been registered, 40 km on odometer (24 miles)......I had the same concerns about the rubber components. Only put 800 km on it last fall, and so far everything is fine...no leaks, drips, or seepage anywhere, tires look good too, no cracking of any kind. I feel I can afford to replace a few seals if the need arises, for I paid less than 1/2 of the price of a basic, current year model.
