I put more miles on that stock plug than originally thought-- it's closer to 4,500km. I took pics of my odometer during oil changes and looked back. Quite unusual, normally I put 2 new ones on a year. My scooter came in the shipping crate with a NGK C7HSA plug. That same plug is still in there, after 3 seasons of riding.....about to start season 4, if we can get some of this snow melted. With 5,800 miles operated, which is more than twice as much as 4500km, I have no plans on changing it until at least next year. Scooter starts and runs great, and the last tank of fuel I used, delivered over 91mpg.....not bad for a 150. I know plugs are not expensive, but I can't see throwing something away prematurely....especially when you gain nothing in the process. In the last picture you posted, the gap in your plug appears to be at least twice as much as it should be.....don't know what you gap your's to....I run .027".

Did you try adjusting a/f mixture screw? Just because the carb is new doesn't mean it is set to work right on all scooters, in all climates, at all elevations. It just needs adjusting. And your old one probably just needs a cleaning.
Go here.....http://itistheride.boards.net/thread/148/alleys-general-carb-adjustment-guide....guess you'll have to copy & paste. I can't seem to add a link when editing.

And let's not forget, that our state taxes also buy a round trip bus ticket for ones girlfriend to make her monthly trip for "romp in the hay day"......and just maybe, if she's lucky...... 9 months later, she'll get a nice raise in her benefit check.
What a wonderful way we've come up with, to correct ones bad behavior. And then the educated idiots running the show, can't understand why there are so many repeat offenders.

If you can't remove any nut on a scooter that you want to, with a 1/2" drive impact......then you better adjust the inline pressure regulator. If you are getting psi to your wrench, it will work on anything that some dope didn't apply Red Loctite to. I use a Craftsman 1/2", but never at the highest of it's 3 torque settings, but rather at the middle setting. Even then I won't let it hammer on a nut when tightening, just a couple of raps past snug. I do have both a 3/4", and a 1" drive impact too, left overs from my truckin days. Way too heavy duty for anything but 18 wheelers, ag tractors, construction equipment, etc.

I think you'll be just fine with the Michelin....found this link giving available sizes for the Pure Power. Notice that the 130/60 13, is in both the list of front tires sizes, as well as the list of rear ones. link

$100.00 + dollars for a battery to start a 150cc Chinese scooter. You'd have to be nearly insane to go for that deal. Maybe P.T. Barnum has something to do with these things. Oh... wait a minute, he died in 1891, but he did say that there's a sucker born every minute.....he sure nailed that one. I got a little more than two years out of my original battery, replaced last June with one that cost $22. , with free shipping. At that price I can afford to replace it yearly if need be, but doubt that will be the case. Time will tell.

That is a real shame. I'm sorry to hear that your new scooter has been damaged by those scum bag, hoodlums... not once...but twice already. If I were forced to live in an area like yours, believe I'd end up in prison rather quickly....I have no patients with, or compassion for, the gutter rats you have to live around.

If you go to a motorcycle shop/dealer, bet they won't say "what is fork oil".
Google, and Yahoo seem to know what it is too.

I think you better do as JerryScript advised. I have a windshield on my scooter, and one on each of my BMW's....they do not cause any side to side movement.
You said: "However now at higher speeds, especially with a passenger, I feel the front kind of moving side to side"
You know something isn't 100% right up front, and you take a passenger on a higher speed ride? What's up with that?

I really don't know how fast my 150cc will go. It will be 3 years old in March, and I've never held it wide open on a flat stretch. Even climbing the 10 and 12% grades that are common here, I rarely use full throttle. I do know it cruises along very nicely at 40 to 45, at a leisurely 5300 to 5900 rpm range, hauling my overweight body (your weight +5 or so), and will average more than 80 mpg....sometimes hitting the mark. You're into mph....I'm more into mpg...at least while on my 12" wheeled, plastic bodied, Chinese made scooter. But come to think of it, I rarely drive over 60 mph on my 1200cc motorcycles either.

I have been eyeballing them for some time . Me too. I think I'm in luv! I bouuht one Sunday morning...last day, of the 3 day January Blowout Sale. Like you I've wanted one for a while now.....and at $295.76, I decided that the time was right. The one I bought is item #68892, which according to discussions on other forums, is a bit more rugged than the newer model...item #69904. Instructions say to check oil level in pump....Mine needed somewhere between 6 and 8 ounces to top it off. Used a veterinary syringe and some tractor hydraulic fluid I had under the bench. Like dmartin95, don't know if I'd put a 1000 lb bike on it....considering that is it's maximum rating. Won't worry a bit lifting my 600 lb, 1200cc BMW's. (Scoot is on the lift now...."Schultz" and "Dooley", my BMW's, will get their turn before spring...will update if I have a problem with it) If I had a 1000 lb bike....I'd want a lift capable of at least 1500 lbs.

I am simply going to state my experience with windshields. Others may disagree....and that's OK.
Bought my first windshield in Nov. 1965, mounted to handlebars of my Honda S90. Have had numerous others since, and currently have one on my scoot, and also on both of my BMW's. All are mounted to steering portion of the bikes.
Have never experienced an ill handling bike due to a windshield.....but I do keep both hands on the bars at all times. I'm far more concerned with flying debris in the face, (be it large bugs, birds, or stones thrown up by other vehicles) than I am with loosing control due to wind.

It was that same -1* here this AM. Don't think I looked like you, but felt that way, by the time I walked out to the chicken coop and back. Wouldn't even think of scootin....I'll take 4 doors and heated leather seats in this weather......Guess that global warming stuff hasn't arrived in the northeast yet.....wish it would hurry up and get here. Its not global warming anymore now its climate change My mistake....you are right, they did changed the name.....wonder what they'll be calling it a couple of years from now. Still say I could use a degree or two increase in temperature, and really doubt that I'm the only one that feels this way.
