I didn't realize that the CSC Cyclone RX-3 was such a good alternative to a maxi scoot until I read this thread. The RX-3 provides wind protection and storage, but you still must shift and swing a leg over the seat to mount it. Its a Zongshen. Well liked in other parts of the world. All the information you could want on it here.

It is probably rusted on good. Hit it with some penetrating oil and let it sit some. When you get the gear puller back on, tighten it till you get good tension on the fly wheel. Then take a hammer and hit the end of the center bolt of the puller (the one pressing on the shaft). Hit it with a nice solid rap, not like trying to hit a home run.

No gap settings that I know of for those. Should be set at the factory. If one is closer than the others it probably got bumped by something or dropped.

If the battery was new in 2007 then it has served you well. Probably time for a new battery. Even car batteries have a average life expectancy of 4-6 years.

This last week I installed my new trunk and grab handles. Was going to install the windshield, but it got damaged in transit. :-( Tomorrow I will install the new performance variator and sliders. :-)

Honestly, I can't tell that this is a 150cc engine VS my old 168.9cc Pretty much the same engine except the head bolts are a bit farther apart and a different head. With the cooling shroud on they look the same.

Not sure if this guy is running sliders, but it always makes me giggle a bit. Especially when you hear the scooter over the high pitch wine of the other bikes.....

Yes, doing it more for fun and experience than out of necessity. Thanks for taking the time to tell me your experience.

Yes 150cc. Scooter gross weight 243, my weight 135. Already got the performance CDI and coil. Need the plug still. Next steps are exhaust then carb manifold and then I will play with some port and polishing.

I just ordered a performance variator with 12g sliders and a set of 11g sliders to play with my scooter a bit. Right now I am hitting 52mph at 7500rpm. I am hoping the larger diameter of the performance variator and sliders give me a bit more with the stock motor. 55-60mph would be cool.

More scooter parts on the way.
KOSO 11g sliders KOSO High Performance Variator Set with 12g sliders
And I also needed a variator spanner tool.
Next items will probably be 30mm ckv carb and intake manifold to match.

I used the flange style and the exhaust is very tight I would still look at that gasket. You can get the bolts tight, but if the flange is not right it can still leak. Listen to the video you posted when you hear the sound the muffler sound is in time with it.
The flange is a bit hard to get to seat right. That is why you need everything a bit loose when you tighten it down so nothing will bind and interfere with the tightening down of the flange. If it does bind it may be tight, but not sealed.
