Hello, I have a 150cc Sunny that's not charging. When I went to start diagnosing the problem, I noticed the harness going to the regulator/rectifier has a wire that's not in the plug. It's a dark green wire, In the scooter manuals I've seen so far, it's the autoenricher wire. Someone has also pulled the green ground wire out of the the plug on the regulator/rectifier. They had the dark green hooked up to the green ground in R/R....
I bought this scooter used with 200+ miles on it so I do not know the entire history, but this does not look stock and I can't find a wiring diagram.
I'm including a video, I kind of ramble for a bit but all the info is in there.

Well, My order arrived today..... The Bad: Like Shannen mentioned, they didn't provide any tracking or updates. However, I did receive a receipt 36hrs after I placed my order....The package arrived with the part sticking out of the box... They could have secured the package a little better. The Good: They Shipped very fast! Ordered friday night after business hours and got my package wednesday morning. In short, 3 Day S&H. Speaking of S&H, they offer free S&H!!! Nice! Best part of my experience, the Price. They offered the best price! Overall, it was a good experience. I will recommend them in the future and order from them again. Now for the goodies..... Here's how the package arrived: And the revealing: Here's the start of my GY6 Hotrod collection. I'm going to buy a bunch of strokers and BBK's and experiment. Taida GY6 3500 Stroker Crankshaft extends the GY6 stroke from 57.8 to 61.3mm adding a 3.5mm longer stroke. Used in conjunction with the Taida GY6 65mm Cylinder Kit will produce a 204cc cylinder displacement. Specifications Applications: Stock Stroke: 57.8mm GY6 125cc Engine (152QMI) Stock Stroke: 57.8m GY6 150cc Engine (157QMJ) Stock Stroke: 57.8m Taida Stroker Crankshaft 61.3mm (+3.5mm) Brand_____________ Taida Parts

ccr According to one of the best 150cc head builders in the bis, a 2 port head can be made to have much larger valve ports than the combined size of a 4 port head. It has to do with the casting needing to make the additional ports and the small size of the actual head it'self. Also with a 4 port head you're available cam options are reduced. They just don't make very many 4 valve cams for the gy6 yet. Sourcing high RPM 2 valve heads that come with 1200 RPM valve springs and ti retainers is no problem. Shannen, haven't heard from ya in a while, how've ya been and hows the scoot been running since the upgrades?

If you Havoc is like the one at the following link then it appears to have a drum brake engine converted to a right side disk brake mounted on the swing arm extension. bintelliscooters.com/product-gallery.aspx?ProductID=177Brake rotor/caliper on right hand side of scoot: Left side showing drum brake backing plate cast into CVT: Yep, that's the one.....(or in my case, should say 2!) I made an up close video showing the Brake setup... Check out the video guys, it looks my scooter does have a drum brake motor that has already been factory converted VIA the swing arm.... So what do ya guys think, could I get a rear drum motor and use my existing parts?

I think Scooter mentioned this, but it worth seconding. Why would you want to buy a kit with a crankcase cover when the one you have is fine (just needs to be bored out)? All of this trouble about disk brakes would be avoided if you just used the cover that is already on the bike --- and simply opened the hole up enough to accept the 63mm jug.If I remember correctly, we have spoken about this before - the issue for you was time ..... the time for a machine shop to bore the hole. If you are going to 180cc you already have decided to separate the crankcase (the labor intensive part). So, either way (bore out your existing crankcase vs. buy a new crankcase that is pre-bored) you have to take the engine down all the way. ------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------ This is my reply
I don't know why the stupid quote is not working correctly so I'll just respond in this quote bubble. The reason I am looking this particular 180cc kit isn't because it's "pre-bored". I'm looking at this kit because it's B-case GY6 with 57mm stud spacing. That means two things, in the event I wanted to go all the way and bore it further, I could go all the way up to to a 67mm. The other plus is because it's only at 63mm and 57mm stud spacing, there's a lot of meat left on the cylinder wall. Way more reliable than boring an A-case to 63mm at 54mm stud spacing. One other thing that should be noted, this engine kit is the one partsforscooters uses in the drag racing scooter. At $399.99, the engine kit is a really good buy IMO, if you're wanting to go with a b-case that is..... In short, it's all about the b-case!!!

I was wanting to buy a 180cc upgrade kit but it appears to be setup for drum brakes. My Scooter is a Bintelli Havoc 150cc and I have both front and rear disk brakes. Is it possible to use my components off my disk brake engine and convert the drum in this 180cc kit to disk?

Your voltage will vary with throttle so seeing your lights go brighter/dimmer is normal as long as you're not talking about drastic swings in light output....
However, the cutting in and out over bumps points to either a short (broken wire) or perhaps the bulb isn't seated well in it's socket... Corrosion in the socket.... etc etc...
Best thing to do is to not wait for a silver bullet answer on here... Get out your voltage meter and test light and test your circuits... However, if it's happening on bumps, you may not be able to detect a short with electronic tools due to the fact that a short can be intermittent... Peel off the tape (or wire loom) and do a visual inspection for damaged wires... Real good spots to focus your search is any place that may be crimped/sandwiched by other parts.

I have been considering ordering some motor from an online seller that I've never purchased from before.... Has anyone ever ordered anything from the GY6store.com? How did the transaction go?

Okay, if you're making a scooter Christmas wish list..... What would be on there? For me, I would really like one of the new Yamaha SMAX's...... Or, I would like to get a Taida 232cc BBK engine kit.... Either one would just be, beyond sweet..... Third runner up would be a 63mm Hoca package with a +2.5 stroker, 4 valve head with EFI... Yeah, yeah, yeah nothing like dreaming big..... Anyways, if you went all out, what would be on your scooter wish list?

Thanks for the response!
I posed this question on a few other forums... Here's some of the responses I've received thus far:

because wiring a switch into it will make it easier for it to be stolen. Please explain how adding a hidden toggle/kill switch will help a thief steal a scooter?

But at this very moment it is only playing for me on this thread on this board.
What browser are you using? may want to clear out the temp internet files and restart your computer if it is playing on every single thread?
JR
Yeah, it's playing only in this thread for me as well now... I'm using chrome... Perhaps my cookies were screwed up or something.... Yesterday when I logged in I had like 8 tabs open and at first I couldn't figure out what window/tab it was coming from.... It was pretty funny actually... Anyhow, it seems to be working fine now

Okay thats not a problem at all. My next question what wire is the kill switch running to i would like to mount a hidden switch so when the next person tries to steal my scoot it won't start for them! If you have AC CDI you can locate here: You can do the same thing with a DC CDI, just put a hidden switch on on the #5 PIN... Afterall, your scoot will not run without power to the CDI.
