Do you have a tank on the bottom (in the floorboard) or up top? IMO, if you have a floor tank, the simplest fix is to get an electric pump and a pressure regulator around 3 bar with a return fuel line. If you have a bottom tank, you will need a self priming pump with an inline check valve. It's a honda ruckus gy6 swap. So the gas tank is in the floorboard, down low below the height of the carb. But the same fuel delivery I have now worked perfectly fine with my old 150cc stock gy6 engine. It never flooded the carb back then What's the difference between a floor tank and bottom tank? I'm unsure.... It could be the increased vacuum of the newer engine, or perhaps you un-knowingly repaired a vacuum leak when you did the engine swap..... In short, I don't know why you're getting too much fuel now.... Just a possible fix.... First thing I would try if I were you is to put the rectangular Mukini back on, and change your vacuum back to a single port....Try that and see if it stops drowning the carb....

Thanks JerryScript. Spark plug could be the prob. I will check. Hi Jc53, JerryScript wasn't suggesting the spark plug may be problem. He was suggesting that you pull your spark and inspect the firing end. It's called "reading your spark plug" and the purpose is to allow you see what is happening inside your combustion chamber. .... Here's a good link from NKG on how to read your plug and diagnose what's going on inside. Even though you said you have corrected the problem by de-restricting the air flow, you may still want to get a good read on your plug.

I never saw that response. Awesome Job! I really like what you did with your trunk and think I'm going to follow your example and illuminate mine as well.... ----------------------------------- On a side note, I'm now almost done with the break in period. Yamaha encourages two break ins. One upto 600 miles where they suggest keeping the RPM under 4800 (which is impossible), then in between 600~1000 miles keeping it under 6500 RPM.... Anyhow, I went ahead and seen what she could do. I hit 77MPH (Digihud was 77MPH, My speedo said 82MPH) at roughly 9000 RPM (Redline is 9750 RPM) ..... She cuts through the air as if you're riding an arrow.... I've riden a lot scooters in my day but never have I drove one that handles like this S MAX.... Cornering and riding through high winds at high speeds is a non issue. I am so looking forward to this riding season I can't describe it. I will not drive my car or truck unless weather forces me to.

Hey everybody! I'm having an issue where I ran over quite a few bumps in the road and my Tach/ Fuel level readouts are not working at all for my scoot. Speedo/odo work fine. Took apart the top peice and it lookes to be hooked up solid, but where should i go from there? Locate a spot where they share a common connection and go from there... For instance, if they both get their power or ground from the same circuit, inspect that area.... Visual inspections will not cut it. You need a multi-meter with the ability to indicate continuity.

How important is the length of the pilot jet? Mine measures in at 23.5mm but every site i see selling them puts overall length at 28mm I don't know. However, I have upjetted using the larger pilots (Keihin style) and haven't had any issues.

Did you try a bigger pilot jet? that's my next step im looking into it now, seems like stock is 35 so I'm gunna get a few larger sizes anyone have any links where to find them? i keep finding main jets I have opened up about 8 24mm carbs and they all had a 35mm pilot. I would say 35mm is a safe bet for stock sizes... I would start with a 38 pilot and see if that fixes the popping on decel.

If you have a smart phone, you can download Digihud , it's a free app for your device that will tell you your speed. It's how I verify my speeds on my scoots. You can also do this with a GPS or similar device... Once you know what true speeds are, you can put "markers/indiciators" on your speedo,... For example, if you get 50MPH on Digihud and 60MPH on your actual speedo, you can mark 50 on your speedo.

So i changed the jet to a 125 from a 115 and honestly I'm not really seeing any difference, still getting the same popping noise and my a/f screw doesn't seem to affect the idle until it's all the way tightened in then the engine cuts off Doing quarter turns at a time to lean doesn't seem to do anything. Not sure what I'm doing wrong but obviously something. Am I on too large of a jet or what's going on here? I suggest taking your idle jet up one size.

I just bought a 2014 Super Hornet MC 150. I know that the speedometer is wrong. Does anyone know how to fix this using the cable to the front wheel? No. If you stick around these forums for any amount of time, you will discover that over % of all scooters (not just Chinese) have speedometers that are inaccurate.

scrappydogscooters Called them for a part and they told me they would call me back, never heard back from them! Did you try calling them again perhaps? I've dealt with scrappydogs and they are excellent supplier of scooter parts. They have fair prices, stock rare and hard to find parts and if there is a problem, the staff will go that extra mile to make it right. Anyhow, things happen... Just give them a call again or send the support staff a message.
