Thanks for the feedback gang, ...So I should make a duct?.... I got the same response on the doc's site.... Anyone have a link to a dealer that sells the duct pre-made or is it something I should fabricate. Cost is it not an issue, but a "professional look" is.

I am looking to buy some performance air filters for my scooters. I purchased some K&N's that fit the carburetor, but they hit that stupid bar on the frame... So, does anyone have a recommendation for a good filter (prefer K&N) that I'm able to use? Part number will be great, link will be better.... Thanks.

An update on my experience with the little electric fuel pump that's been in use since last summer. Thing continues to work GREAT - much better starting than with the stone age vacuum pump. However - I think (not sure) the output pressure of the little pump is a bit too high for the little scooter carburetter and it's wimpy little needle valve. I'm noticing that if i have the ignition turned "on" but without starting the engine, fuel eventually gets pushed past the fuel bowl and into the carb. body. I'll no doubt have to change out the needle valve, but to ensure against continuing issues I've picked up a cheap little pressure regulator (about $20) that is dial-adjustable from 1 psi to 5 psi. The thing is made for carburetted VW Bugs - so anyone wanting to find one that's how to track it down. I have it set to 2 psi. Here is a pic of the thing installed: 2 PSI is too high. My ecotrons EFI kit has a regulator that is only .47 PSI and that encompasses 100~200cc at up to 10,000 RPM. IMO, you need to dial it all the way down.

Hey gang, Can someone recommend a good STOCK replacement for a 150cc GY6 that has a PD24J carb? What exactly I am wanting is a stock 24mm carb, with the highest quality.... By quality, I mean some have screws that are soft as butter and make working on the thing impossible without using screw extractors. Others may have sub-par materials for the float or needle tip, weak diaphragm etc etc.... I am also not wanting to go outside of the stock dimensions. I'm not wanting to add a manual choke and want to use the enricher. Name brand would be nice. Doing my own search, I came across a Keihin 24mm, but I know Keihin is one of the most widely cloned and I don't know how to identify a genuine Keihin. What is the best "stock", PD24J you have came across? i bought that one from your link, based on the info i read in this thread in pretty positive it's a clone. It's only got 1 identifier stamp on it I got my response from Keihin: ------------------------------ Hi Daniel, I had sent your pictures to my engineer and here is his response: It looks ours but copy company do all of things so not guaranteed. (Cannot guarantee but It looks like a Keihin but there are some really good imitation carbs out there) And I am not sure why he calls this carburetor as PD. If he bought his motorcycle dealer, I believe he has genuine. If he buys from e-bay for discount price without reason, may be fake, I guess. Bintelli Havoc's have dual disk brakes as well. It's very rare for a Chinese 150cc scooter, however Bintelli makes an amazing scooter. Over the past year I've learned the in's and out's and know what makes the difference between a good and bad setup. Bintelli exceeds in every area except valve stems. They use standard cheap valve stems on a quality scooter. That never made sense to me.... But think about this for a moment, my only gripe after owning for a year is valve stems that have not even malfunctioned yet....That should speak volumes in itself. My newest scooter (Yamaha S MAX) also has a dual disk and both the havoc's, and the S MAX stops on a dime. For my personal ride, I would never accept scoot that was not dual disk. I'm a safety nut and now that I know the difference, DUAL DISK FOR ME

I'm looking for a BBK for my 125cc scoot, looks like all the BBKs are for 50cc and 150cc; how do I know which one works on my scoot? The engine is 1P52QMI (125cc long case). The 1P52QMI and 1P57QMJ are identical other than piston size. You can go up to 61mm without boring on some kits. It's dependent upon the piston sleeve skirt size. GY6 2V cylinder size: 52.5, 58.5, 59, 60 , 61, 62, 63 - A block 63, 65, 66 and 67mm - B Block Diameter of cylinder and distance: 52.5 x 57.8mm 125cc Diameter of cylinder and distance: 57.4 x 57.8mm 149.6cc. ----------------------------------- In short, anything that works for a 150cc will work for yours.

Hi All, I need to get a new rim for my 2012 BMS TBX 260. Rim info: MT3.50 DOT I found it on a few sites and was wondering if anyone had a preference on vendors. Can anyone share their experience and help me get back on the road? As far as return policy, I'm unaware of how they process returns, but I'm sure their policy is listed on their site. But when it came time to purchase, I selected a Yamaha SMAX instead but I was really torn. I still think the TBX-260 is one of the most awesome Chinese scoots made and I still may get one. Nice to see a couple Havoc owners on here i have also got the 150cc, dmartin95 , any tips on breaking it in? Ive had mine about a week and have been taking it pretty easy. I went over it and the idle fuel line was kinked and it was dying on idle so after taking the kink out of the line its been great. For the break in period, I just recommend taking it easy like you have been and try to make sure you variate your throttle while riding. Do NOT stay at the same RPM's (low or high) for extended periods of time... FLUIDS... Constantly check them, inspect the engine for visual signs of leaks and pay close attention to any curves or stress points in the fuel/vacuum lines. Make sure to change your oil (motor and gear), inspect your valve clearances, check your CVT belt and get a reading of your plug at the 500 mile mark.... AT the 500 mile point in the scooters life, if there's anything irregular going on, it will likely reveal itself by then. Also, if you don't have these done by a certified mechanic, you will VOID your warranty. (Oh and one more thing to keep an eye on. Your valve stems. Bintelli chose to make a quality scooter but use very cheap valve stems. I recommend replacement with quality metal ones within the first 2500 miles. ) ---------------------- My Bintelli experience has been great. I started with a 50cc Scorch. Great machine, 800 problem free miles, but my long country roads made me feel like I was going to get ran over... So I had to upgrade, the scorch is sold in a 150cc and in my search for one, a seller offered me a 150cc havoc for the same price as a scorch.. I jumped on the deal. This has been my main ride and I haven't experienced a single issue and I put about 1250 miles on it last summer/fall. I live in Michigan, but was vacationing and visiting my parents in Florida when I found the Havoc. I trailered it all the way home and still had my scorch... So I started calling around to Bintelli dealers to sell my scorch, but I came across a seller who offered me an excellent trade-in price if I swapped for a 150cc Havoc. It was identical to mine (Green/white/black).... What would I do with 2 havocs you may ask? Check out this link ... That's Jason Hart from Grand Rapids scooter, he's the one who sold me my initial 50cc scorch. I was going to have him convert one into a powered side car..... Anyhow, I never wound up making a setup like in Jason's video, but that's how I wound up with two identical Havocs. Now a days the second is Havoc is used for my company. ------------------------------ Also, one more thing to note: My second havoc I purchased had a kink also, but it wasn't fuel. The wires going to my coil was kinked in between the frame and seat/body panel area and made it to whenever I hit a bump, it would die... What was happening was that it the two wires were arching out killing the spark.... It was very easy to identify the the damaged harness and I attribute it to human assembly error and not a problem with the scooter itself.. Once that was fixed, it has ran problem free like my other Havoc and must say Bintelli makes a of a nice scooter! Welcome to the Bintelli Club!!!

The Keihin's I have I have been getting good feedback on them for quite some time and they have been coming from the same factory. Here is a picture of it. I can most of the time price match with US sellers. John Hey John, do you know what size of jets are that are coming in your carbs you sell? The ones in my pic that I have that say standard of Japan look identical to the one you have hosted on your site. I opened one up and was surprise to find a 102 and 35. I think it's 102/35 for a 125cc and 105/35 for 150cc. Anyhow, I know out appearances can mean little with these types of products and was just curios as to if you know the jet of the one in your link?

Yes, I picked up two from the same seller in the link I provided. I also imported 11 Keihin's from China and got another supposed Keihin in a Complete engine kit I picked up at auction. I don't think any of them are genuine and have started dialogue with Robin Traiber of Keihin and sent her in pictures. She's going to have Keihin tech's examine the pics and will get back to me once their holiday is over. I will let you know what information I get from her. If it turns out that the ones we purchased as genuine are fakes, the seller owes us a refund... The ones I imported from china are the ones with the braided drain line. I knew they were clones when I made the purchase but the price I paid reflected as much. The one I have that is just stamped with a K T and nothing else came in a engine kit... It was listed as Keihin. They only listed the engine came with a carburetor. Anyhow, I am going to speculation to rest. I'm getting my info straight from the horses mouth and update when I get the info.,.... The one with braided hose has stamps all over it

So i looked over the scooter real quick today and the first thing i found was this plug that i couldn't figure out where it's supposed to go any idea what this is for? A little tough to see but it's two wires green and white That plug looks like it goes to auto enricher on your carburetor.. Most that I have seen have been yellow and green, but white is an AC charge circuit as well. If someone has modified the scoot and installed a manual choke, the other end of the plug may not be there... Just locate your carb, find your enricher circuit (wires coming from enricher) and see if that's plugged into anything.

And, if that monster red wraparound light is not factory-illuminated, it's fertile ground for a REAL safety advantage with the simple addition of an LED strip inside it. The turn-signals are simply "mini" amber strip-LED's on top of the red lens, outlined with chrome trim. Leo in Texas Hey, that's really cool Leo! I too am all about the safety and I just may illuminate the trunk like you did... When you did the project, did you create a thread and if so, got a link? What LED strips did you use? Running up to get groceries or just out shopping in general the trunk is awesome. I can fit two full face helmets for when I have a passenger... My trunk may not make the greatest fashion statement, but it sure is utilitarian.

Awesome exactly the information I was looking for as for the last pic is that piece supposed to be that hard to put on or is it just bc it's a cheap part that the rubber just isn't flexible anymore? Sometimes they pop right on, other times they can be a mofo! Could be it's getting brittle and losing it's flex, but unless you can verify it's damaged, replacement shouldn't be required. Just get a small amount of lube and don't try craming on there with both pieces making full contact. Put it together like a tire goes on a rim. Start on one side and as you press it on, go in a circle.

The Kind of carb you have is what's called a tamper proof carburetor.
If you're wanting to replace it, the stock carb is a PD24J . It's a 24mm CVK type carb.
A good brand to go with is Keihin. Even the Keihin clones are of good quality.
