Well ya can look at it sorta my way I figure this whole deal, fake big valve, fake perf exh, is all just Semi Finished Product. I almost done mind ill have enough time in my head that I could have bought 10-20 of them. but I know it will be correct. Gotta Hard Kitchen Counter top?? Get a thick piece of glass on that counter and throw down some emory cloth and swirl that puppy all around and remove the scratches, Heck y'ull be bumping the compression at no charge!! Whallla! Lain High Perf Head. Thats a Forty Dollar bill right there I agree. Easy fix. Probably only needs a few thousandths to make it right. How much that would affect compression, I don't know. Would you guide me on how to solve that? I just did a rebuild, with a cheap head and cylinder, and the compression is still only 120 psi, according to my gauge, after 500 km. I don't know how much clearance there is between the valves and piston, but that would be a great solution to raise the psi a bit. 10.5:1 compression is listed for the 139qmb, so that's 14.7 x 10 = 147psi that I should have? It's 39mm and that volume is going to compress by ten so if I needed to raise my psi to 147 - 120 = 27psi so I'd need a volume of 2.7cc's compressed, removed? .0023mm = .00009"? I'm probably way lost here. no wait .0023cm = .0009", about .001"?The stroke on a 139qmb is about 1.63". I need a volume of 49cc to compress to 10.5 x smaller, so compressed volume would be 4.71cc, but my compressed volume is too big by x amount. Okay, my head just exploded. 4.71 cc's on a 3.9cm bore would be .0984cm height = about .039" or 1mm.
.394cm = .155" shaved off to make the compressed volume 4.71cc smaller?

Agreed. I wish I had read it before I bought those lousy belts.

What was Honda thinking when they designed the Helix/Elite series? The newer look is better but still a little..... Funky? I looked on Ebay for front plastics... Nothing! not even the old style, tons of old (like mine) rear panels, but nothing for the front. I love the ride and performance of my bike but she got a problem with the nose. scooter I suppose, in the 80's, it might have looked futuristic. A friend of mine described my scooter as "sleek". I didn't tell him what I thought about it.

I prefer Hondas but how can you go wrong with a nice looking bike like that?

you can buy a new boot for about $5. twist the old boot off the wire like it's a nut on a bolt and screw on the new boot.

I know this was a few years back..but i was given the same eton beamer scooter..the one with the 2 bug headlights..and i need some help in picking parts. Im in no way a super mechanic..but i would love to do as much as i can before i take it to the shop. It is running..but i want to tune it up a bit. I purchased new front brakes..bulbs..new spark plug...just wondering what else should i get to starty project and get her really roaring. Also how hard is it to change the rear brakes? Im a bit of a noob..but im willing to learn. JR is putting up some videos now. In the mean time, search youtube for things like 139QMB repair, scooter drum brake replacement, etc. There is a LOT of good stuff over there. I have used several of them to learn how to do everything from fixing my scooter, to making a DIY electric motor.

Yeah but the Morphous is one SWEET looking bike! Yah, she's a beauty, even after assembly by me. I do have over a dozen bolts & screws left over. Whoops. I'll be more careful after tearing it down to install the new relay. The engineering on Yamaha drive trains, bearings, etc is top notch but you can tell that the Morphous body was designed by an artist, not an engineer. Sometimes you have to suffer for great art. You can email me a shipping address through the site. Sorry, nothing flexible but maybe it will work for certain of your songs/styles? Whatever you have will be great. I liked the one in the red bag in your video.

First of all, don't get aggravated with the bike. Ask him what the name of the part is and any specs on the part, then tell us what you need and maybe one of us can help you locate the part, okay? Scooter, he should find out the name the INDUSTRY calls it. (It will be much easier to find then.) Agreed. If the mechanic doesn't know what it is called, maybe he could post a picture of the part or at least describe it well enough that we can figure it out.
