Finally Getting back to it. A cold winter and new bike were no Excuse!! Also picked up this little guy. I like your photo, Jarrett. Is that a long exposure and a flashlight or some photoshop work? Sorry for the long wait scooter yes that was a long exposure. i want to say it was f.8 at maybe twenty seconds. and the light is a cheap little led finger light from the dollar store. I didn't photoshop it, however there were some levels adjustments in Lightroom.

If you have the spare cash, enjoy a puzzle, and have an end goal in mind. Why not?

also, after learning about the vacuum petcock it got me thinking. why would the previous owner put on a manual one in line with the vacuum one?

Mine has all of the recirculating bits and the are all just running to open hoses. shalomdawg, thank you for the suggestion on the carburetor and i will promptly clean it. What would be the suggestion of just blocking off all vacuum lines and getting an in line fuel valve. I'm very used to turning them off on the motorcycles and wonder if the Vacuum petcock serves any function other than convenience? Thanks for the help all.

Hi everyone! I finally got the scooter to where it would start and got it all put back together. It sounded fine went for about a half a mile ride up the road and back. when i pulled back in and shut off the scooter it kept flooding gas out of the Carbuetor. The gas had some brown in it. Now it wants to die and doesn't feel want to start without extra power from a jump charger. the battery is brand new. once its running everything sounds and feels fine as long as you keep the throttle on some. Also, I was wondering why i would have two ports on my intake. one to the fuel petcock and the other runs back into the top of the motor. other than my two vent tubes.

OK, I have to also chime in on this one. John ( tvnacman) literally just got off of the phone with me, and while I called him for some help with the wiring harness I just bought he ended up asking me a few questions. Then, all while staying super easy to understand, he dumped more knowledge about the bike than I could even imagine existed. He diagnosed my exact problem i had based off of a half cocked answer and not only did help with the harness as intended but has put me on the right track to have my scooter in better functioning order than i would have imagined possible. All this while still being one of the friendliest people I have had the privilege of speaking with about anything pertaining machinery. He will be getting my business and I will be seeking him for guidance in the future, as I would suggest for any complete NOOB as myself. Great Guy, Great Service! -Jarrett- PS, I say if you call him seeking knowledge have a pen and two sheets of paper ready. yes, two as there will be a lot of note taking on your end. lol

I have just hooked up every plug i have on my bike and i have extras on the Harness. I was wondering if anyone could tell me What the clip/wires purpose. This is the wiring that runs directly to my starter solenoid. My question is should the wires switch like that? with Red/Yellow connecting to Green/yellow and visa-versa. These are running directly from the Engine, I have another red and black from my cdi that i think connects to this one but what about the blue? the green was the one that burnt. Also where could the other red and white wire from my cdi connect? This next group is all from around the Handlebar area. This is a four plug up front, I also wonder why someone would of spliced into it? This is a purple and black that connect similar to the Signals but there is nothing for them, maybe horn? This Blue/Yellow actually runs out of my left hand switch and has no home on the wiring harness? I realize its a lot of wires and questions, and I greatly appreciate any assistance. Thank you

Ok, no biggy. ill check the plug for it when i get home (still in the office). I'm not too worried about the plug. its a single wire. i just was unsure if it had a special connection. the harness still feels ten fold better than the original

Ok, I think I'm following what your saying. Does this seem correct on the concept.
