A larger pilot jet would probably help.

I have one from Harbor Freight that was 5.99 and 1/2 amp I use this one too. Often on sale for less than 5 bucks.

Think of it as a megaphone. Fuel goes in the small end and out the big end!

Great But. . . Not entirely Mechanically inclined. . . I do so work myself but probably will not be doing the BBK it's a little above me so in "keeping it tuned right" What exactly does that entail? Making sure you upjet your carb so that you are not running lean with the larger displacement.

I bet you are absolutely pumped. How far have you gotten? I am assuming these pictures were taken last night. Where did you order these from? I got them from ProvenPowerSports.com, I have been working with William and so far have been happy with the purchase. The are far from perfect. Scratches and missing some hardware. I finally got through the PDI on one of them. Replaced fuel lines, vacuum lines, coil, spark plug, added 12v outlet for gps, changed all the fluids, and lock tite on all the critical bolts. Just have to fine tune the carb and get the tags and insurance. The blue one is for my wife and she road it around the neighborhood for the first time last night. Now I need to start on mine. Our plan is to put them in a trailer and head to Utah for three weeks! Hope to get some miles on them and work out any bugs before then. We are very excited! Did you also check the valves in your PDI? They are often too tight right out of the crate. Might save you save you some hassle later on.

I changed my stock belt out at about 800 miles. Looked OK but now use it for an emergency spare. I would get that stock belt out of there and put in a gates or bando before it explodes and causes a mess or worse. I think best to get stock belts out before 1000 miles if you can unless the stock belt is a gates or bando. My 2 cents.

Have you checked the variator and rollers. Maybe the rollers have flat spots and that is not allowing you to get higher rpm.

[replyingto=jimboeau]jimboeau[/replyingto]Well put in a new solenoid relay tonight and it starts perfectly! I new it had to be the solenoid because when I hit the old one it worked for a few starts and then wouldn't again. Anyway it was about a 5 minute job.
