[replyingto=jimboeau]jimboeau[/replyingto]Just had a chat with Josh over at www.powerrideoutlet.comI asked him about the Pro 2013 Roaring MCR-122 250cc scooter and whether it was Znen made. Below is his response. Josh: We did check that with manufacture. The title of the manufacture is from Johway, somehow we think that they might manufacture this model of bike together which is why they have the Znen logo there. Josh: We have had bad experience with Znen 250cc before. That is why when we do PDI with this model, we had our warehouse double check and pay more attention with this MCR-122. We have to do more work to make sure this MCR-122 is good. So far it is better than the Znen model as we experienced from before with this MCR-122. Josh: Yes, we had found the Jonway is much better quality than Znen before. The MCR-54 old model is Yamaha clone engine, the new model is Honda clones enghine.

It was Superior Powersports in City of Industry California. (and unlike some folks here, had a rather pleasant transaction with them.) My niece got her 50cc from them. The only problem was it took over a month to get it once she ordered it. Do you know if anyone on here has gotten their scooter from www.powerrideoutlet.comCan't find too many negatives about them online.

An older version of it. It did take some work to get it where I wanted it. I followed the Big Guys posting on the Redstreak 250 (same make and model just rebadged) I'm in SoCal so the environmental restrictions are pretty heavy, and I therefore chose the best machine I could lay my hands on. Even so it had "issues" that needed to be resolved. On the plus side it now purrs like a kitten, and design-wise it's (thankfully) not a copy of any other machine. So yours is the Honda clone? What issues did you have at the start?

[replyingto=spandi]spandi[/replyingto]I like the look of that Roketa, especially if it is made by ZNEN. Is there any verification that ZNEN factory is making that Roketta 250cc?

[replyingto=tarkus]tarkus[/replyingto]John said he only sells 50cc and 150cc now. He does not sell any 250cc class scooters anymore.

[replyingto=spandi]spandi[/replyingto]Thanks Spandi. Is that one a Yamaha (horizontal clone) or the Honda (vertical clone)?

Hey all,
I am thinking about getting a 250cc class scooter next Spring as I would like to be able to ride it to work etc. and the one I have now is too small. I contacted John at Valley Scooters as I was asking him about the Linhai 260 which looked like a nice scooter. He said he doesn't sell them anymore and that they have been out of business for a couple of year.
What are my options for a Chinese 250 class scooter? I want something that's been made recently (not a 2008 model that has been stored for 5 years). It looks like Roketa sells some but I don't know how old they are. Please enlighten me on the 250cc market. It looks like they either come in the horizontal or vertical engine variety. Thanks much for your knowledge.

There is a wire that runs from the starter to the solenoid it needs to trigger the solenoid with a 12 volt signal. Hook up a test light to the 2 wires that are plugged into the solenoid it should light up when you push the button. You can also use a meter to check for voltage the same way... and if it doesn't light up it's the relay/solenoid for sure?
