Thanks devo344a, recently I replace my fuel pump (which the other one was bad) but I was still getting some jercking or hiccuping at around 60, so I was thinling an electric problem, so I got some dielectric grease and just working through my scoot, so today I though about the neg post on battery and it seemed to help a lot, still have a little hiccuping, but maybe I've found the problem, long time ago what was on their broke off so I buy a brass connector that you slide wires in and hammer shut.

Hi Dave, How's it going? I used them as example, couldn't find the ones I wanted to show. I have a brass one now and I'd like to replace it, my other terminal +side is like yours.
Hey Dave, post a pic of that if you could.

What is the best battery terminal connector for a scooter battery, right now I have a brass terminal that you slide wire in and hammer shut But I don't think it has a good ground. Attachments:

Barnie, it seem to go away as a held the throttle steady for a few second, then I could continue to increase on the throttle to get the higher speeds I wanted It was almost like having a clogged drain open up (it was weird) The rest of the way home (which was about 8 miles) not hiccup ;D Will see how it acts tomorrow I made the a/f adjustment last night, maybe it took the scoot a little while to adjust to the new settings

Hi Barnie, Well I tried something different going home from work, when it started to jerk or hiccup, instead of backing off throttle I held it steady and the RPM'S just kept climbing what in the world is going on BTW when I cleaned carb, yes got all the little holes in the jets and sprayed through the carb holes. But today's ride hole may give us another clue

Hi Barnie, The belt been on there since I got scoot, the last time I was in the clutch area the belt look good lettering still on there. I have notice that I get a rough idle like it missing, but doesn't stall. when it starts this hicup or jerking. if I back off to a lower speed I'm good. If that belt was put on thw wrong way, would that make any difference?

Recently I replaced my fuel pump and it is running better then it ever did before, the hill I had trouble is not a problem anymore but I still having some issues. 60 and above it will jerk or like hicup but not shut off, not as bad as before, but would like to solve this problem (going down hill is worst it really jerks pretty good when I'm backing off the throttle, and my speed is rising I have turn my a/f twice leaner and now at 2 1/2 turns. I'm starting to think maybe my problem is that pickup coil we are talking about here. What do you guys think

Isn't the ignition coil and ignition pickup the same thing
