What is the best battery terminal connector for a scooter battery, right now I have a brass terminal that you slide wire in and hammer shut But I don't think it has a good ground. Attachments:

Of the two shown the Clamp type is better. But, I don't think I've got either one on either of my scoots I think I've got just the round connector held on with a screw to the post.

Hi Dave, How's it going? I used them as example, couldn't find the ones I wanted to show. I have a brass one now and I'd like to replace it, my other terminal +side is like yours.
Hey Dave, post a pic of that if you could.

The best way to put any wires together or putting ends on is solder it its the only way.
When I worked at the Chrysler dealer if you got caught puting on a crimp connecter you got fired on the spot.
Sloder it then use heat shrink

Thanks devo344a, recently I replace my fuel pump (which the other one was bad) but I was still getting some jercking or hiccuping at around 60, so I was thinling an electric problem, so I got some dielectric grease and just working through my scoot, so today I though about the neg post on battery and it seemed to help a lot, still have a little hiccuping, but maybe I've found the problem, long time ago what was on their broke off so I buy a brass connector that you slide wires in and hammer shut.

The bad thing about crimp on wire connecters is it wont let all the amperage go threw the wire because all the wire doesnt make contact so it ends up they get hot and loose more amps.
It could be your problem if you can try to move it while the scoot is running might tell you if its not making good contact

I have never seen a scooter/motorcycle that used that type or anything even remotely similar. The ones on mine are always a bolt and a captured nut.

Guys, I am not using those terminals, it was the only pic I could find to begin the discussion about what kind to buy? That's all. (sorry I confused you) D8
