Yes I have been looking at the scooters from PR.....they are VERY impressive....do you have any advice for how much nitrous a 172cc 61mm bore GY6 can handle?.... not much. We run nitrous with custom made pistons made to handle it. such as this JE Piston made to handle a 35 Shot. Also run Big bore kits with very thick cylinder walls, Forged Crankshaft rods. Welded Crankshafts. Also i noticed on your setup is different from what i have seen here. Most drill the Nozzle in the intake manifold after the carburetor. not before.

yes on those spacers we also dont use the gaskets. we use silicone. we actually just built a motor and a new mechanic we had used the gaskets and when he took it out for a test run it was leaking oil. took it out and put silicone instead and worked great. dang people charge a lot in the USA. here to do that job most charge around $40.00-$60.00

Body kits

I think you sent me a message on facebook or email asking the same thing. Here in Puerto Rico we have all the body plastics for the Vento Phantom R4I type scooters. (I dont sell them online) but to change it to look more like a motorcycle are usually custom pieces. There are kits that we call the Hayabusa kit which gives it somewhat of a front end of a Hayabusa but i have not seen them for a while.

The max will be 6mm due to the NCY Big Bore kit not having a longer sleeve for the 8.2mm. The 6mm does require modification to the piston. Such as shaving down the piston, making the valve seats deeper and shaving down the bottom of the piston. A machine shop can do that. Otherwise your best bet is a 3mm for the easy install. So I guess a 4mm wouldnt work? Just go with the 3mm? It would but with the spacer the stock chain is sometimes a tight fit.

Whats the biggest that I can go with, with my 61mm? My mods are in sig below. I dont mind getting 94 link timing chain or base gaskets. Can I go with 4mm or 6mm? If not I will just go with whatever works best..... The max will be 6mm due to the NCY Big Bore kit not having a longer sleeve for the 8.2mm. The 6mm does require modification to the piston. Going to be ordering a Stroker crankshaft to complement my NCY 61mm BBK, matching big valve head, A10 cam. Everyone please tell me which crank you have, performance you gained, also which extra parts that were needed for installation. Also How big for my application, and what would be too big. Where did you order from? Thanks to everyone! Randy Hey, We carry stroked crankshafts for the GY6 150cc engines. 3mm,4mm,6mm,8.2mm By far the easiest to install is the 3mm which only requires a spacer and nothing else. We actually just finished a engine today which has these parts installed (which is the one pictured below) You can go bigger but it will require a little work. such as the 6mm requires you to modify your piston and the 8.2mm is a little much for most scooters unless you have a big bore kit with a longer sleeve. But i recommend the 3mm. I have it in my daily drive scooter. I believe a few others here have bought my 3mm on this forum. This kit is for people building engines from scratch. Most cant find someone that sells every bolt you need. Yes you went to a hardware store and can get them in 10 minutes but the thread might not be exact. Most dont know exactly every bolt, nut, washer that the engine needs which is the purpose of this kit. I have lots of people who are buildng an engine brand new and of course like most engine kits such as the taida kits and Hoca kits they do not include hardware. thats is the purpose of this kit.

way cool how much are they and are these kits of better grade bolts? Prices are on my site. No these are OEM bolts from the factory that makes the GY6 150cc engine in China.

How does the 232 perform against a stock 250 ? Have never had a 250cc scooter here to see. But the Taida 232cc is an amazing motor. yes you can go out and get a 250cc stock engine. but there are people who always want to make their engine bigger with aftermarket parts. its like getting a Mitsubishi Eclipse and its stock. Most people go out and get aftermarket parts to make it faster and usually end up spending way more than what the car is worth but its what most like to do yea you can go out and buy a brand new car for the price of upgrading the mitsubishi eclipse but not as much fun. Same goes for a GY6 150cc engine.

i always take mine to autozone or advance auto parts. Autozone will just take the container. Advance auto parts usually makes me dump it into a large container they have in the back.

We finally have a bolt kit for the GY6 150cc engines. Have had many people ask me over the years for kits and we finally were able to put them together. We have two kits available. 1, for experts will not include any instructions or diagrams or labeling. It will be a bag with all the bolts shown in the picture below. 2, will be the same but each bolt will be labeled in its own little envelope with a number along with a diagram of exactly where it goes on the crankcases (picture below) It will include pics of all the crankcases with each area numbered. all you have to do is get the little baggie that has those numbers and that's were it goes on the crankcase. www.scooterelements.ecrater.com

B-CASE?

Yes you need a B case to build a 232cc. the regular A cases can only be bored out to a maximum of 63mm. B cases the engine stud spacing is farther apart at 57mm instead of the standard 54mm which allows you to bore it out to fit 67mm The Taida cases i sell are already bored out to 67mm from the factory and are extremely well built compared to other cases. To make a scooter 232cc you need a 67mm bbk along with a 8.2mm stroke crankshaft. My scooter has a Taida 232cc kit installed. Extremely fast and high quality. I ride it hard all day on sundays around Puerto rico which current temps are about + I posted a thread about a week ago of my build and the kits i offer.

In looking at this the castings and machined parts appear to be beautifully finished (as you would expect for 1500 dollars) ....and speaking of a 250, why didn't they just make this a little bigger? Yes the casting of the case and all are amazing quality compared to the OEM crankcases. as for making it a little bigger not sure. this is the biggest you can go on a GY6 150cc engine.
