Does it take a B-case to build a 232cc?

I would say Yes, due to some using regular None B and boring it out to fit a 63bbk and it just blew apart not enough meat left around the stud holes and along side the chain side. Alleyoop

For sure takes a b case the standard cases can only be bored to 63mm the 232 takes a 67mm and a 8.2mm stroke.

I wouldn't go over 62mm on a standard case, the 61mm required no boring and combined with my stroker its plenty enough for where I ride, actually overkill.

Well you can be assured the 62mm works great no problems with the 157QMJ motor. I have the 62mm with a 60mm stroker crank and I am not easy on the motor. I do have it setup to run great mph pulling 350lbs of trike plus my 180lb butt but at low rpms. I have 6k on the BBK and not one single problem runs like a raped ape. Alleyoop

Yes you need a B case to build a 232cc. the regular A cases can only be bored out to a maximum of 63mm. B cases the engine stud spacing is farther apart at 57mm instead of the standard 54mm which allows you to bore it out to fit 67mm The Taida cases i sell are already bored out to 67mm from the factory and are extremely well built compared to other cases. To make a scooter 232cc you need a 67mm bbk along with a 8.2mm stroke crankshaft. My scooter has a Taida 232cc kit installed. Extremely fast and high quality. I ride it hard all day on sundays around Puerto rico which current temps are about + I posted a thread about a week ago of my build and the kits i offer.

I bet the 232 on a 150 would be quite a bit faster than a 250 the 150 is much lighter.

How does the 232 perform against a stock 250 ? Have never had a 250cc scooter here to see. But the Taida 232cc is an amazing motor. yes you can go out and get a 250cc stock engine. but there are people who always want to make their engine bigger with aftermarket parts. its like getting a Mitsubishi Eclipse and its stock. Most people go out and get aftermarket parts to make it faster and usually end up spending way more than what the car is worth but its what most like to do yea you can go out and buy a brand new car for the price of upgrading the mitsubishi eclipse but not as much fun. Same goes for a GY6 150cc engine.
