Well I never chimed in I went from the 150cc to the Majesty to the Burgman 650. I ride about a 100 a day easy. I love to do 300+mile runs and just did one! The 650 fits my need getting up and down mountains. The 400 was a great bike, light and easy to get around on. The 650 is a beast!

I can tell you this will be an opinion based reply by many....
I use straps around the lower fork section. Also you can buy motorcycle handlebar straps and they should slide right behind the plastic ( I have done this with my old unit) Also some people buy the wheel lock on the lift and just tie the front tire to the lift and the rear they go up inside the unit.

Well being my bike is not the Executive I was not blessed with the passenger backrest. After doing our first 2 up ride, I needed to install one :smile Step one:Go on BUSA and find TheReaper and let him know what you need. So I have a special thank you and was impressed how fast he had it on the Fedex truck for me! Step 2:Home Depot Bound! I bought a plastic primer, a paint color that was as close as I could get to my bike. (Later I will have them make a match and do it perfect, but for now I like the look) I also got 400 grit and 600 grit wet sandpaper. And of course some lizard tape for the insignia. Step 3:Start the wet sand process to get the clear sealer and oils off the original product. Step 4:Apply primer coating. First shot just light shoot the spray can about 10" away. This will only lightly cover the red, but your second coat will cover. The reason for the lighter coats, it sets better and drys faster, also you will not cause runs. Step 4:Same thing with your color coat, please make sure you light spray. Also prior to spraying plastic shoot paint onto paper or whatever to make sure the goobers are not shot onto your item. Step 5:Apply clear coat, this is where you have to be ready to wait. Apply coat 1 and wait 3 hours, apply coat 2 and wait 24 hours prior to installing. This will let the product sit and penetrate the plastic. Step 5:This is where you are going to drill out the plastic. (Hardest part was to cut into my bike! :eek ) First thing is to find the crosshairs, this is where you will drill. Flip plastic over, use the masking tape and put where the holes will come out. This helps the plastic not break out and ruin, even though you are going to cover with the backrest. Drill out holes Step whatever number I am on....Place rubber seal down then push the black bracket into the holes. Use the 3 allen screws, size 6 metric, and screw down. Step 4356Screw on back plastic and push pin the front part. Those tabs are M6 in size, I did re-up and buy M8 to replace some other ones. And now....Apply rest pad to the bracket And now we ride! Hope this helps anyone out there doing their own bike! Worth the money and looks great!

00 So far so good, there are about 4 other riders on another Forum that have all done the same conversion. They are bright as crap and never use my high beams, maybe in the back mountain roads but in San Diego that is not often. Good to know. I ordered the H4/9003 set this past Saturday and have already changed over to LED everywhere else, except for, the gauges. I'm pretty sure I'll be fine. The listing shows only 30w/bulb and the current factory ones are, guessing 25w/bulb. They should be delivered by the weekend and weather permitting installed soon after. Thanks for the feedback and peace of mind. Loren Of course! when I did my LED dash lights the main ones I cared about where the gages and the turn signals. The others where nothing really to me to have bright. Plus I didn't want the D light bright as the blinkers. I can tell you the blinkers are very bright during the day and I have found I do not leave it turned on well after I have made my turn. Here is my post from another site: Admin, if it's not ok to post this thread from another site please remove and I'm sorry burgmanusa.com/forums/15-burgman-650/119970-led-dash-lights.html

How are the LEDs working out for you up till now? I'm looking into this set also, but, the 60W may be too much for my system. I have converted over to LED brake and signals already. Also wondering if the fan used by the headlights make any sound...? Edit: Just watched a review on Youtube and the sound is minimal. Now I'm just concerned with the amp draw. So far so good, there are about 4 other riders on another Forum that have all done the same conversion. They are bright as crap and never use my high beams, maybe in the back mountain roads but in San Diego that is not often. As for the draw and so on, I know it says 55W and 60W and so on but my bike runs a lot better with full LED conversion. I was under the impression that it uses less electrical load and energy so the bike isn't making as much, same as a home. Now this is all stated from some one whom is not an electrician but is more of a numbers guy. In my house I have solar, I run the ac on and the doors wide open....not really but don't pay for power. That being said, when I went all LED in the house because they outlast and look better in my opinion, with everything lit up and cranking I use a lot less energy then florescent. But the wattage is more. So as for your answer......no clue, not a damn one

Oh how I remember cleaning the old carb out in many of the VW's I have owned.......bless fuel injection! (till it breaks) I wonder how the gasoline fired forced hot air heaters that they used in the colder climates in the old bugs hold up to ethanol. It always made me take pause when turning on one of those things with the gas tank right above them behind the dashboard. Crap, you have the guy in the front legs on fire and the guy in the back seat wrapped in a blanket!
