Welcome to the board, I live in Santee, and ride the mountains all the time!
My paintball park is at Barona and I have found my new love it to scoot it up the hill. Peaceful, well until those casino buses come around the corner

Funny topic!
About 2 weeks before I bought my scoot, well first one, I was at Home Depot. Now the new Home Depot has contractor parking up front, nice for them but sucks for pretty much anyone trying to walk out to their car from the exit, bad design.
Well as I go there for the "Honey Do" list, i am leaving and some older gentalman come ripping through the exit on a Buddy, he is trying to park but had not relized u have to release the throttle then apply break not keep throttle down! Let's just say this poor electrician had to try and eplain why theres a huge dent in his new work truck.
Some fact: Throttle was not stuck rider had been drinking. His outfit was great! NON DOT helmet, harley jacket and shirt, jeans and sandles......not saying much here but damn

After riding my BMS V9 EVO 150cc for the last month, I decided to upgrade. So last night I bought a 2007 Yamaha Majesty 400cc Silver. Were to start: Well I went back and forth between this the Suzi and the Honda. Now being I have always had Yamaha dirt bikes quads and SXS's it was kind of a leaning choice. Now as most know all these sized beasts all look close to the same, so it came down to price, condition, miles and who wanted to sell it for what I wanted to pay Found my victim not too far from my house. He had the product I had the fresh blue crispy REAL bills and the title was transfered. So today is the start, I have had a blast so far and found me getting off this thing to even stop for a drink, pee, and bathroom was tough. This beast has a very responsive throttle, off the start slow but man after 15mph that thing takes off like a rocket. The sound is not whimpy by any means. I love that this thing has good leg room, I am 5'11'' 215 pounds and not one ounce of a issue, specially up hills and on the freeway, btw that was a butthole puckering experiance! Now, as for storage, my little gem does not include a trunk like my last bike, but no fear the underseat is huge! I can place my full face helmet, ipad, and a bunch of other things I prob dont need. So in closing, I like her, she runs well, does what I was looking for and I am not changing gears. I stop at a light on a hill hit the parking break and rest hands free! BTW it has exterior speakers, let's just say ipod plugged in and music loud, Stare away people it costs me $5 a week to drive what cost you $60! No future mods planned, I like how she runs no need to mess with her. If I knew how to upload pics VIA my ipad we would have some to share!

Alright so this post made me laugh very hard out loud in Starkbucks! First off I get enough attention pulling up on the scoot all systems blaring out some country. Then to come inside order my very berry hi-no clue how to spell it, load up the ipad and read this, lets just say the post really made my afternoon!
Now the best part about this is, today was MY first day on a scooter on the highway. I just last night bought a heavy scooter with enough lower man section to get on the freeway. I swear that i felt the same damn way, talking myself through every stage of the adventure. Here in San Diego our on ramps are very long and have many entrances before you hit the actual freeway, best part people think these are drag strips. As I turned my left to get on the on ramp I thought "here we go, relax breath, then ok up to 60 and climbing here we go, then I am doing it!"
Great post!

We'll my first scoot is a BMS V9 EVO 150cc stoke. Bought her used in great shape. Changed all the oils and plugs, possible EVAP removal, added GPS.
Oh oh I have no problem posting about rides, as I have come to really enjoy the slow pace freedom. I have ridden street to heavy bikes and they are great in there own way. But a scoot really allows me to enjoy worry free.

I have to agree with the take politics out. I have left boards that are slandered with points of views in that arena.
Look forward to a informative board and lots of dumb questions, coming from me!

We'll here I am, been debating on joining the world of scooting, but today took the plunge!
First off I have read this board for advice and it has been a huge resource. For that thank you members and staff!
Second, I'm loving the 56 miles I have put on my scoot just testing the waters and can't wait for a bunch more.
About me, I'm from the great city of San Diego. Lucky to have city and mountains to ride. I run a paintball company and get to play a sport I love. I'm a medically retired army vet, 11B, from Ft Benning. I love to hunt get dirty and do not live life to kiss peoples butts. I have little to no filter and love my country.
Other then that! Hi!!!
