Im told that even our fuel lines on Chinese bikes are metric diameters so youll never get a perfect size. Hit a boat shop...older outboards use all sorts of weird-sized fuel lines!

My battery fully charged struggles to start both my scoots, for high compression builds i say get the lithium or a high torque starter or both, on a stock scoot a regular agm should suffice depends on the build, anything over 190 psi compression needs a good battery or starter or both Have you tried up-sizing the battery cables? That might be enough...and it's a lot cheaper than a lithium battery!

Have you looked on the BOTTOM of the floorboard? Seen a few with the tag there. (Don't look at me, I didn't do it...)
That's the Helix-clone, right?

1) Make (nice job, chindog!), borrow or buy a proper variator locking/holding tool/spanner. 2) Soak the nut's threads repeatedly over an entire day or two, with penetrating oil (PBlaster, Kroil, Mouse Milk, Liquid Wrench, etc...). 3) Get the nut good and hot with a propane or Mapp gas torch. Smoking hot... but being careful that it's not hot enough to melt any aluminum variator part(s). 4) Immediately (while still very hot), and with the locking/holding tool securely in place, crank on it with a big 'ol breaker bar (1/2" drive, minimum) with a proper fitting socket installed (preferably 6 point). I'd bet it comes right loose. You might want to replace the crankshaft seal while you're in there, if the heat appeared to do it any damage. A variation on that: heat the nut gently and carefully with a propane torch (or a heat gun on its highest setting)...then quench it with penetrating oil (PB Blaster, etc.) or synthetic engine oil. DO have a fire extinguisher handy when you do this! Let it cool completely. (You should be able to touch it with bare fingers.) Should pop right off...if not, repeat procedure.

Here's my home made variator tool. The OEM tool for my Scarabeo was $150, so I just made one out of hardwood and bolts. It works just fine. Any chance you could post a detailed "how-to" writeup in the appropriate forum?

A drill would probably work better than a Dremel.

Kevin...I am AB-..while rare it is common and prominent among we we Native Americans. Sadly few than 2% of America's population can give us blood. Both time I had surgery..I had to go in 2 times...2 weeks in a row to donate my own blood in case it was needed. Makes me feel like an Alien.. Actually, that is false: you can receive blood from ANY person who is Rh negative. (AB+ can receive ANY type of blood.)

Don't hold your breath on Foreign Terrorists..as something seems very odd and fishy... For one...think about this...it was not a timer activated explosion..as they would not know at exactly what time the majority would cross the finish line. I had to be set manually..meaning by somebody nearby that could when the large mass crossed the finish line. Just my opinion as I was a Combat Medic for 21 years..now retired. I was with 8th Combat Engineers for 3 years...part of what we did was blow things up..so I have some in depth knowledge on that subject. Case in point...the McMurrah building...there is some bullsh!t to that story. The explosion went one direction and ruined the building..with little no damage to everything around on it or on the other side of rode. Detonations go in 360 degrees...they can't be focused in one...except the Claymore mine. yet that one exploded in only one direction?... ...hmm Plus it would take more than a truck that size of ANFO to do all that damage.. Just my 2 cents.. The area was broadcast live on TV and I think Webcast...could have rigged it to a cell phone & fired it from just about anywhere in the area. Then again...there was a 3+ hour window with a more or less steady stream of runners crossing the finish line. The timing wouldn't have to be THAT precise.
