Jeeze! I can't believe he settled for a mere $200k. I would have sued the city into complete bankruptcy. I would OWN the city of Philadelphia after something like that. The mayor would be my personal servant. Good luck getting a conviction against the cops. Cops seem to be above the law in every case against them that I've seen. I hope justice prevails in this case and these cops go to prison where they belong. Nope. They'll get a slap on the wrist and go back to terrorizing citizens. Justice would be them spending the rest of their lives nailed to crosses.

Most important words to remember: "This conversation is being recorded and transmitted off-site in real time."
The police are the country's most dangerous street gang.

I'm not surprised. His customer service sucks rocks. The parts I got from him were unusable.

My uncle remembers a dude near Fort Hood had one of those things...took 2 guys to start it, and he ran it on a mix of methanol, hydrazine, castor oil...and nitromethane. Damn thing would run about a mid-5-second 1/8 mile. (Of course, it usually needed an IFO by the third run.) Another guy had a pair in a homemade dune buggy...it would do a wheelie in sand with paddle tires. Bloody insane!
About the same time, he had a bike...it was BIG, everybody was amazed. It was a Matchless...a whopping 600cc. (Well, that was big then...)

Take the center stand OFF! That is usually the offending piece. It is completely useless unless you want to work on your bike. In that case just put it back on. Only 2 bolts to deal with. Then you can take corners as hard as you want. I need my stand. Offhand, I can't check my oil without it!

I've only gotten up to between 65 and 70 on my 257cc (I'm up to 235lbs at this point), but I don't feel safe at that speed. My suspension feels like it can't manage at that speed, and as I've said on the highway speed thread here I start getting white knuckled from all the buffeting at that speed because I'm sure it's going to knock me down. Serious question: how's your tire pressure? Even a few psi low made my Helix pretty unstable.

This is one reason I wanted ABS. Only done a little rain riding, but my Burg's tires (OE Bridgestone Hoop) do pretty well.

Be aware: the little 110/100-12 and 120/ -10 tires on a Helix/Commuter are frequently only rated for 62MPH! What brand rubber does the helix come standard with? I don't think the stock Chinese scooter tires are even rated..lol Mine had Bridgestones, which seems to be the most common choice for a Helix.

Mine hits the rev limiter at ~95MPH.

Honestly...Jasper is pretty good. Having seen their reman engines go 200k or more (saw one with almost 350,000 miles in a courier's Caravan), I'm surprised they blew you off like that.

there is a vin check somewhere. John That's another thing. It's a cfmoto Fashion. The VIN is inside the trunk and there is no key. Is there another place on those scooters where the VIN number would be? My Qlink Commuter (same company & scoot) had the VIN under the seat.
