The 7 turns out means you have too much air getting in. That means either it is a very bad leak, or the stock airbox has been replaced with a more free flow air filter, without upjetting to compensate.

I think this is an excellent topic, and great advice, which oldchopperguy has pointed out many times here. One thing everyone should be aware of is local laws regarding added lights. In most jurisdictions, there are limits on which colors you can use, and in some there are limits to where they can be mounted. Call your local DMV and/or Police Dept and find out the local rules. It would be ironic to get ticketed for trying to save your own life. And don't forget ATGATT!

No. The BN engine has the same stud spacing as a standard gy6, but a taller head. That head is what I'm looking for. As for pricing, dmartin's price was cheaper than any other drop-in kit I've found, by more than $40! I feel like I got a great deal!

I haven't found a crank for the BN engine yet, DMartin is checking on it. It has more splines and a slightly longer shaft.

61mm drop-ins are available, largest without boring, is that what you meant?
I have a Taida 61mm drop-in with just shy of 800 miles on it.

Old school video games eh. Who else here tore apart their Atari joystick to make a button slapper so you could beat Track & Field? We screwed the joystick to a piece of wood, then attached one of the button leads to a clothes pin and the other to the piece of wood and another piece put above the clothespin, that way pressing the clothespin gave one tap, releasing another, basically doubling your speed.

A slab of bacon, that's what my southern nanny used to put on our bee stings. After all, bacon makes everything better!

Yes, even a small slit in the intake manifold can prevent enough vacuum from developing to pull enough gas through.

FYI- Parking in plain view of a video camera doesn't help. At work we had perfect video on two cameras of a thief who stole one of my employee's scooters. My nephew had the scooter I handed down to him stolen at school while parked next to the principle's car under a camera, with police on campus full time. The police in most jurisdictions don't have the time to investigate a scooter theft anyway, no matter what assurances they may give you to shut you up.
Now if you have a tracking device, this means the police don't have to spend time/effort investigating, they can just catch the thief with the stolen scooter.

If you can spin the wheel freely when it's on the center stand, it's probably not the brakes. Check your valve lash (tons of vids on youtube), and check your carb. On the carb, clean it well, and inspect the diaphragm for any tears.

Easiest way to bleed the front brakes is from the bottom up. You get one of those plastic syringes with a tube that will fit the bleeder nipple. Take the top off the master cylinder, fill the syringe with brake fluid and attach to the bleeder nipple, then squeeze it in till a friend watching the master cylinder stops seeing bubbles. Be sure to have plenty of rags around the master cylinder to catch splashes and overflow, brake fluid destroys paint almost instantly!

Good job, like the vent! I currently have 3 scooters, two have the smaller clutch nut, one the larger, so I understand where you're coming from.

FYI- You can get a TK103 GPS tracker for less than $30 these days, with a sim card that costs $10/month. You just call it on your cellphone, it hangs up and sends you a test message with a link to google maps with the location. Lots of other features as well, worth it IMHO.
