Nice job on that seat!
Saturday: I pulled apart the variator on the Xingyue and discovered it uses 20x15 instead of 18x14 rollers/sliders. Popped the clutch off and decided that it looks good, plenty of material left and no grooves, and no play. Stuck it all back together
Sunday I remounted the combination rectifier mount and tire-hugger fender support. The other day I found the fender had come loose and cracked the aluminum plate at the top and beside the lower front bolt. Reshaped a bit, new holes, a couple steel straps for backup.

A note about the steel on one of my scooters: The Znen has the gas tank - steel - mounted under the floor, but still not enough to trip the light.

They paint lines, or in the case here, all of the lines and arrows and words are inlaid into the road and painted.
I said before: How about they mark the sweet spot for two wheelers?
Once a road is repaved, you cannot see where the lines are as you could before.
I installed a car wash that used loops to activate it, but the factory supplied loops were small, and even fastened to the top of the concrete floor, a heavy floor jack had trouble activating the wash no matter what the sensitivity was set at.. We had a guy come in and cut the grooves in the floor about a foot deep and we made a loop about 4 feet across and 8 feet long. Now we had a loop that could be used by the lowest cars up to the most lifted truck that would fit in the bay.
Over where I used to live, there was a left turn with two visible loops. One car stopped up at the front of the lane would not trip the light for a green arrow. Stopping on the first loop, about two car lengths back from the front - with no other cars in the lane would trip the light every time - in a car. I never tried on a scooter. The roads have been resurfaced and the medians all redone, so where are the loops now?

I found 20x15 sliders on ebay - 9g to 21g DR PULLEY SLIDING ROLLERS 20x15 For APRILIA,HONDA,KYMCO,MALAGUTI,PIAGGIO - (wish I had that much horsepower!) -about 32 bucks shipped. Rollers are only a little less. Parts for scooters sliders are about 36 shipped. Rollers 8 bucks less.

Induction loops in the road arent effected by the little metal of a scooter or motorcycle. Some lights may trigger with a flashing headlight (possibly illegal if you have oncoming traffic). I try to make use right turns and U-turns if needed. Also, some states allow a bike, scooter, motorcycle to go on red Wisconsin has a law on the books since 2006 that includes :
"The law also allows motorcyclists to proceed through a vehicle-actuated red light after 45 seconds when the signal fails to recognize the motorcycle"
Basically if you wait at ANY red light more than 45 seconds, if the intersection is clear, it is OK to proceed thru the intersection (Red Light) with caution. I've talked to some LEO friends & all have confirmed the law's validity .
I actually used this a week ago. Two of us at a light - my scooter and a Shadow 750 were unable to trigger the light, and there wasn't enough oncoming traffic or vehicles behind to get it to trip. We finally decided there had been a large enough gap and no vehicles approaching.

The Xingyue is now EFI, with a 1" header and muffler, and a pod filter. Data shows it is running very well.
Znen is pod filter, 1" header and shorty muffler, 118 jet and two spacers for the needle. Haven't looked at the plug yet.

YEa, a nice rpm, but not enough top end. I pulled the variator and realized they were larger than the pile of rollers I have. I managed 66mph (@ 10krpm) down a huge hill with a huge tail wind last year, same variator, stock air-box and exhaust, 110 jet I think. I should be able to get more from the Xingyue since the intake and exhaust are upgraded.
I need to work out the Znen variator - put 12 g sliders in. from the 17g rollers. Need to go and check that clutch. It is still jerky at 1500rpm idle, I thought it was the heavy rollers.

The Xingyue ITA 150 has the 123mm variator. 12gram rollers. I was going to try an up or a down weight, but all of my rollers and sliders are for 18x14.
The Xingyue uses 20x15. Of course.
Since I have no spare to try, I need an educated guess what weight to order. I don't want to order 3 or 4 sets. I have EFI, 1" header and muffler, and a pod filter. I should be able to get more top speed. two examples - Long shallow downhill: 7700RPM @ 52.5MPH air temp 46°F Big downhill : 8151RPM @ 54.5MPH air temp 72°F - often traffic slows me down on this downhill - stop light at the bottom. Conversely, I need to climb this hill going to work, sometimes from 0mph due to the stoplight at the bottom.

My Xingyue (16" wheels) speedo reads very fast above 25mph. I had a GPS mount sandwiched under the mirror stalk. I stuck a "45" label over the 60 on the face. The odo is right on. The Znen speedo is also off. The fastest on GPS or smart phone MyTracks - was about 55mph, but the speedo showed 70mph. The odo is close enough.

probably be able to buy just that part of the case. I never got as far as looking to buy one. I tired a bolt and nut with washers, but it didn't hold. Then the JB weld epoxy- held for a week or so. I think the brazing will be good for a long time.
I also thought I could take the motor with the stator and flywheel removed to a welding shop and pay for it to be done. Chances are, it would have taken maybe less time, and not cost much different. More quality, better welds... but I had to try it for myself.

I would try to clamp a spacer between the bracket and swing arm - I cant see your pictures here at work. spacer = a couple nuts, washers, a short pipe nipple. Thick nylon would probably work, but metal will hold up longer.
Do not ride with only the exhaust bolted to the head. You'll just break more stuff.

You could take the stator out for the time being and then put it back after your valves are adjusted.

Xingyue - I am unsure of what is in my 123mm variator. I tried 10gram sliders but went back to original. (No tack at the moment - EFI kit has a DC CDI, and the tach fed off the AC CDI, and I havent figured out where to get a signal now) Znen - remove 17gram rollers and have 12g sliders now. I have sets of 12, 13 and 15 and 17gram rollers. Lawnmower tach, not as snappy to react, but it is stable.
I need to come up with a plan to adjust both CVTs

[replyingto=pmatulew]pmatulew[/replyingto]My JB weld attempt did not hold. I ended up pulling the motor and rigging it so the broken patch was straight up and I aluminum brazed a new lump to drill and tap.
