I like the Yingang looks a bit more. More naked, less sport-bikey The Honda Grom is comparable on looks for sure - $3000, 125cc 9.7hp

If the magneto is making it that difficult to time, then my suggestion is to remove the magneto, remove the stator, put the magneto back on and set the timing. The toughest part is if you don't have a flywheel tool for the removal.

Granted I'm on the cheap end, but if it were reversed, and I passed him, no matter what brand or origin of our scooters, I am no snob. It doesn't matter what you ride, just that you ride.
I went to Amerivespa (June 2012 Lake Geneva, WI) on my cheap scoot, and never heard a word against it. But I did get compliments on the style and that it was over 5000 miles.

Thanks for the great tips. For the life of me, I cannot find the gear oil drain plug. Found the gear oil fill plug with no problem, but there doesn't seem to be a gear oil drain plug on my ZN150T-18. Any chance someone can post an actual picture with the gear oil drain plug identified either with a circle or arrow. Thanks very much. The gear drain is the bottom bolt - lower than the CVT cover bolts. It is a gear case bolt, and also a drain. Scooter150cc - are you still running the 18 or 12gram rollers, or have you gone to another size? I had not realized mine were 20x15 12g until I went to try any of the 18x14 sets I have for experimenting. I need to upgrade for a little more top speed.

hmm. Wonder if putting 250 badges on mine would help my speed?
Probably not. Just make me feel worse for being slow.

This morning on the way to work, of course I had to stop at the light at the bottom of a large hill. Behind me I thought was a sport bike. Light turns green, I'm WOT to climb the hill, manage about 38 or 40 until I crest. Meanwhile, the PCX pulls into the other lane, where I see it is a PCX and not a sport bike- and flies by as if I were parked. Stopped at the next light where he was in the left turn lane and I was going forward. He didn't even look my way.

I find real exhaust shops are nice on price. I am considering having my usual shop UNbend the last bend on my header so that the muffler is nearly parallel to the ground. The Znens rear fenders cover nearly all of the shocks. They go pretty low, and can bang on the muffler as it is.
I will either go down and ask for an estimate and then bring back just the pipe, or bring back the scooter in the van - so it is cool enough to handle.
They charged me $10 to weld the O2 sensor bung onto my pipe (Xingyue EFI conversion). I had duct taped the bung in the best location I could manage.
Real = not Car X or Midas. The Shop I choose makes race pipes got cars and trucks.

Some states allow you to go through after the light cycles twice without the left turn arrow activating. Twice is a long time. I know I've watched the clock on lights in the car, and seen more than 2 minutes before my lane got to go again.

OTOH, if I did have a Kymco or Sym, or something similar and faster, I can picture myself trying to add performance to it too.

Now I can see a bbk in the future for my Znen.
A Taida BBK for the GY6-B motors would be a nice surprise (there is another thread about performance for -B engines.)

Ferris Bueller reference A digital dash could be adjustable - if it uses a magnetic induction pick up at the wheel. Cheap Chinese digital dashboards on ebay - $50-ish bucks. Full dash conversion? Maybe that's the way to go?

I have a 16" wheel Xingyue ITA150. Carb, exhaust.... I'm not sure if a cam is interchangeable - like an A9 for a GY6 - will it work in a GY6-B? There are two places I have found with Taida BBK parts www.mbe-motorsports.com/catalog/index.php/cPath/153and: search for Taida, and look at the 57mm spacing. www.drowsports.com/search.phpI have not bought anything from either place, yet. a 232cc motor would be fun, but may as well buy a new scooter...

[replyingto=trailheadmike]trailheadmike[/replyingto]This looks like something to try in Gimp. I sure cant afford PS! Make a white background and dark text, print on a clear sticker material, or a thinner paper. Avery transparent sticker material: www.avery.com/avery/en_us/Products/Crafts-&-Scrapbooking/Sticker-Project-Paper/Clear-Sticker-Project-Paper_04383.htmI haven't looked in a while, but I did see plans for printing new gauge faces for the Ford Probe, and other cars. I know the speedo on the Xingyue is painted on glass- I think it is glass or heavy plastic. If I were feeling artistic, I should be able to remove and paint new numbers, at least in the upper speeds. I have a white 45 label on the 55mph spot - I think I said it was on the 60 before. I had to look again.
