Make sure the TWO wires normally bolted on to the valve cover are there. I forgot to put the skinny one back on and I had the same problem. attached it back and like magic it turned over. If you can turn the engine by hand then its an electrical problem, not the valves. Also I don't find it a coincidence that this happened right after the bbk in which requires you ti disconnect alot of stuff including wires. What makes you think of this guy as a pro? Sounds like he fucked up your bike if you ask me. Whats your kick starter situation? I seriously doubt your starter, solenoid, or battery randomly went out because you installed a bbk. You would have had warning for failure whether it be a gradual malfunction or a spontaneous one(Works when it wants too).

The steering column needs to be adjusted and tightened. I had the same problem multiple times. Every time I adjust and tighten the column it goes away.
It keeps coming back because I never tighten it enough. I don't have a wrench big enough and lowes was no help, so it basically hand tight.
Simple easy fix.
If you hear the noise and its tight you need to loosen it and adjust it.
Every time I adjust and tighten I have to push the tire firmly up and screw it tight and it holds.
Ive had the problem before and after replacing the tripple tree and bearings. Only thing in common was the fact it was loose and needed to be adjusted.

So know nothing about it. Can you fill me in? like best camshaft, valve clearance, spark plug type, known problems, ect.

So I just got this 150, and it has a dual rear shocks, but 1 is snapped. The previous owner rode it like that for a while fine, however I have bad luck. I know some bikes only come with 1 anyway. Is using 1 shock ok. If not then where can I find a cheap replacement. Its around 13in with 13mm bolt on the bottom and 14 on the top

Yea, everything on these things can go bad. I've had multiple cdi's go bad on my some new. I had a problem in my wire harness. It was taking out my stator and cdi left and right. I don't know where the problem was but I pin pointed it to the harness, replaced it and never had a problem again. I'm sure it shorted out other things too because now my battery weakens the head lights when plugged in, and the bike drains it instead of charging. I don't care enough to fix it, I just unplug the battery every ride and use it for starting.

just opened the crab and found a rip in the diaphram Congrats. Now try to find out why that happened, because it seems unlikely...... But then again I had a needle jet break on me and my bike has never been the same...HOW THEW DOES A METAL NEEDLE JET BREAK??? Its not even under pressure. But anyways, I recommend the A9 cam to really unlock the bbk. Its as easy as stock to install and is cheap, and gives you a day and night difference performance wise.

If you have a BBK in there and did not up jet your carb the Big BOOM you may have blown the piston. Alleyoop I know what the say about not up-jetting, but I strongly disagree with the tragic outcomes reported. Once upon a time when I got a bbk and everything but a new unsealed carb then got broke. I was running EXTREMELY lean. I mean you can smell it overheating when you ride and park the bike. New oil turned tar black in 72 hours of riding. (Not 72 non stop). And everything else that come with being lean, but NO engine blowing. This continued for at least 2 months. At most I think I caused excessive wear on the rings, and cylinder, causing compression loss. I would take it on at most 10 mile rides with minimal lights and signs. It would have problems starting after I cut it off but once it cooled down or if I let it idle for a bit before cutting it off it would be good. It was soo bad you can feel the heat by getting close to the engine. Multiple times I feared the engine would ignite with me on it.(Not who's being dramatic)

The cam is not his problem, he is saying he got it up to 50mph then on the way back it would only do around 30mph. Doing his Wide Open Run caused something to give. Like I said he could of blown his diaphgram and or his Variator has a problem. Alleyoop Oh, yea I skimmed the posts and read the title and assumed he never got it past 30. Time to re-read in detail.

Do you have stock camshaft? if so thats your problem. I had the same problem with every bbk i've done. Put an A9 camshaft in and it was literally like magic, it revved nicer and got more power and accel through all rpm's. And got over 20mph top gain. I bet you have good acceleration but shitty top speed right? Yea you need the A9 camshaft. Just look at my signature, it should help you.

Not supposed to max it out until you break it in a bit could have damaged the motor. I know how they say its bad to max it out, but with a couple of my bbk's i've maxed it out before 5miles maybe less and the've been fine. Long run (Over 2 years) I don't know if its a good idea. What i'm getting at is it will not damage the engine at all. The rings just have a less chance of seating well.

You have a wiring problem. Magnetos don't go out unless something takes it out. Keys not in and lights on means somethings crossing, and or shorting out. Last time I had thats problem I changed the wire harness and it went away.. It was a though because the wires go through the whole bike front to back.

I ride around and ask a few shops about pressing gears and I found a local boat/jet ski guy that only charges me ten dollars. It only take a couple of minutes. No write up or anything just puts the money in his pocket. I Can swap out gears in about thirty minutes. After the bbk it's well worth the time and money. Thats pretty cool. As for me the search is still on
