You can fix it yourself for under , but if you have the to fork over just do and and get the problem over with. But charging it while you lean to fix the problem your self is smarter. Its easy. What all did you spend 1200 on? You didn't keep paying that dude to fix it did you? If so, sound like he's scamming you.

So as far as I know all there is is an cheap in effective so called magnetic screen that's supposed to keep metal out right. Well I put the screen to my fridge and it wont stick or retract so how strong is the magnet really???.
I want to spark ideas about a new sysstem.

Why not just take off the carb and hoses, and store them inside. Then put them back on when weather permits? I don't think its the cold alone that gums them up. Its the sitting part too. So either way it would have to be cleaned. Granit it would be wayy easier to remove, clean and store before it gets gummed up. Then when needed replace and go

Yea, I just tore it back down and are going to wait until I fix the clearance problem. All the builds I've done have spun without any inner contact noise and this one does not, plus before buying ive read about clearance issues.
I just put back on another 50mm I had and no issues.

So i'm trying to finish up this build and when I went to check for free play in the flywheel I notice a little tap when at TDC. It provides barely any resistance and I don't think it would effect running however i'm not the smartest. When its at the point where it knocks I checked and the rocker arms moves freely while rotating past the knock so its not a valve hitting the piston more of a piston to head clearance problem.
What do you think? Safe to start of no?
When I loosen the camshaft holder and turn the knock goes away.

If so, how do you have it setup? Jets, air screw setting, air filter ect.?
I had a 19mm carb and got it to run nice. A piece broke in it and they sent me a 20mm replacement. Don't think its a big difference but the previous settings won't work on this one.
