Got a vid of it finally. Took the wife to get some paper-work done (bout 25 miles round trip up and down some pretty steep hills) and it ran great. Prolly gross weight > 330lbs. If it is cold out the smoking lasts a bit longer. At the time of this vid it was 75F and partly cloudy. Prolly 300+/- miles on the new install. I believe the enricher might be acting up but IDK. Haven't torn the engine down yet.

Sorry if this is lame: Can someone tell me what the automatic enricher mounting-clip is called? I need one and will get the enricher as well if I must but I cannot find anyone selling it alone or with enricher. Any help? Guess I could fabricate one.... Thanks

Ok,,well hopefully it gets better with time, you said it did it before the BBK,,well it just might be something in the head like broken valve guide seals too....or did you change the head also? Sorry; missed that. Yeah, changed head as well. Haven't posted vid as I always forget to grab the tab on the way out the door: Phone is too janky and hi-def cam doesn't go for rides. lol Doesn't seem to be going away. There will come a time (soon) when I get off my lazy a** and go tear it apart instead of diagnosing via CCTV.... Edit: Oh, I did fill 'er up with petro today. <--- keepin' on topic.

Did you already watch the video posted above? Yeah I watched the vid. Just need to see the mechanics of something like this to wrap my head around it. It is not obvious in the video. Not doubting: Just baffled.

i finally gave up on "repairing" the harness and ripped the whole darned thing out of the scoot and started from scratch. That is essentially what I had to do recently. Got the engine running and will follow up with other accessories after customizing. There are too many wires on these things but wiring is not that complex once on figures out the flow and colors. lol One wire hooked to the wrong place and nada.

Definitely needing some customizing on frame. 20+ yrs of welding/ironwork comes in handy. Will strip the rest of the plastic off and actually be able to view panel points. Want to make some kind of trike or something akin to training-wheels (seems dangerous). Would love to see my best friend ride in a few months (retiring). Her sense of balance is not good (not even a bicycle - maybe this can be "fi/ed" with a bit of experience and a boost of confidence?) and has never driven a self propelled vehicle. Would bleeping LOVE to see that smile of freedom on her face! Will do everything in my power and use whatever resourses necessary to see this through.

Safe RPM's

I try to keep mine below 8000. Once in a while I find it wanting to ride close to 9000 and I let off a bit. Never confirmed actual RPM as just using the chino-meter.

I've been thinking the same (all steel). Got that rescue back together with basic wiring: Just enough to get the engine functional. All the wiring is trashed but in place w/lights. Plastics are a mess. Thought I would run head & tail lights and hide all wiring (maybe fishing through the tubing). It runs like a bat outta he**! LOL

Not sure how that external valve adjuster would work (at least on a scooter). How does one loosen the nut; then loosen/tighten the tappet while it is in motion? I would think that anything flexing at RPM (if actually attached to the adjustment system) would fly apart forthwith.... lol Gotta see how this works out. On to google hahahaha Edit: I don't get it: Must be overthinking. Please make a video. I'm baffled.
