A coupla pix to illustrate previous build @ 7,000+ miles. After cleaning the carbon and what-not, everything appears new. Even the cylinder still has it's cross-hone pattern. I use 15/40 Rotella every 800-1,000 miles, use Shell and run about 7-7,500 RPM. Any criticism or ideas to keep the next 7,000 cleaner on upgrade? Thanks and good ridin' to ya all! mopojo

Yeah, I chose the 44mm kit as i just wanted a little more power. I am a bit concerned that the 50mm will stress the rest of the engine unduly. I wanted the bike to stay above 6,000 RPM (out of "binding" range) uphill with wife on (300+ lbs. total) and it works. Better than I expected. Giving her a ride home today, she says there is a big difference.(what does she know?=LOLz). I just hope the bike remains stable and lasts for a while. Cops tend to want to stop you here if you are doing over 25-30 on these scoots: I ride without a tag, too. Highway department says they don't issue tags or register them (49cc scoots); thats ok with me....

Installed the parts this morning (2 hours) and it runs great. I have only put 20 miles on it but so far so good. I will leave the rest stock unless there arises problems. Thanks for all input.
I checked GPS and it was doing 30 mph @ 8,000 RPM. The speedometer is not accurate on most of these bike.... I will check speeds with the 44mm kit later.

The bike (49cc) actually runs fine: 30-35 mph @ 7 - 8,000 rpm. So instead of a larger displacement needing more gas; less is called for? I just wanted to install this and run.... lol Isn't it just a replacement part for the 49cc gy6? Thanks

I have a 2012 Dash 50 (stock) with about 7,000 miles +/-. I need a little more power and was wondering if upgrading to the 44mm displacement will make any noticeable difference. The bike runs a bit rich and the carb air/fuel mixture is not adjustable. My buddy rides behind me sometimes and says he can smell the gas. I do not need a rocket and do not want to stress the low-end unduly. Is this enough to help with hills and windage? Again, I am fine with the 30 mph or so; just need a little push. Also; if the carb is running rich, would it be ok to not up-jet? Any thoughts or advice is welcome and appreciated. Thanks, mopojo
Edit: Link removed....My bad.

OK. Will get the impact this weekend. Thanks for the input. Will update anon. BTW; should I go lighter, generally? On the weights.... Well you went down on POWER from the (secret thingy..63cc) so it will be slower and less top end. With what you did and pretty much stock, your top end will be 30 or little over if your lucky. Some may hit 35 stock but not many. Alleyoop just tryin' to get 30....lol thanks, oops.

Rebuilt a scooter and it runs ok. Needs work, though. Gunned it to about 7000 rpm (for a sec) on center stand. Riding (under load) I get no more than 5000 rpm. It has take-off power but does not get "to speed".
The original top-end was a larger than 50cc (secret thingy) and was replaced with 49cc top-end.
Any thoughts or opinions on the matter? Thanks, mopojo

Thank you for the clarification, brandjur. Will be sure to protect the glass when replacing the bulbs.

What is the best replacement part and what would cause the bubbling of bulbs? Anyone got some better than OEM for sale that can be delivered yesterday? Why is it so hard to post in this forum? PN: GA0T12V18/18W Edit: PN could be GOAT 12V18/18W?
