dont worry about the video for some reason it wont load and i keep getting an error. all i was doing was showing the damage to it and showing that it appeared to function normally and wondering if this was caused because of starting without the cover on or if it was caused from something internal in the bendix not working properly.

ok since i stripped the crap out of that screw i might as well just replace the whole setup but my question still remains about the bendix bc im just curious. I found the bendix and the starter on ebay for pretty cheap about $35 for the both of them. would it be wise to not run the scoot with those pieces off? i can just put the starter back on and attach the wires that way i dont have any loose wires dangling around. and then i had a question about the main jets im looking to get. ive noticed that most of the main jets on ebay say either 5mm, cvk, or kenhin, or a mixture of 4-6mm with any one of those names. scrappy says my carb is a runtong, but it has K N the standard of japan stamped into the side of it which ive heard to be kenhin carbs. so how do i know which mm size jet to get and what brand? Would it be easiest to take my carb apart and just measure what ive got in there? this still leaves me with the question about the brands tho? does it really matter what brand i get or is it just certain brands are "better" than others just like everything else? Oh and when i mention the mm size of the jet i dont mean like 105, 110, 115 which is the jet size, i mean the width of the threaded part of the jet such as the bottum measurement on this pic www.motoracingshop.com/images/Prodotti/AAA%20generiche/carburazione/getti-massimo-mikuni-spaccato.gifAttachments:

so i have a tidbit that i havent seen someone mention to you yet. on the face of the clutch itself depending on which one you have there will be a 28mm hollow about 1/4inch thick nut that youll have to get off inorder to take the clutch off the clutch pulley. now mine was a huge pain in the bc even tho it was a 28mm nut a 28mm socket would not fit because the turns had a wider angel on the turns of the nut. i had to go to a 30mm and go real slow with the impact.
gl its doable but can be tricky

ok will try taking the variator drive off and get the starter gear off. any suggestions as to where to get a new starter gear? and just incase a sylinoid as well?
scoots if the splines are bent is that something that can be fixed or does it just need to be replaced?

I tried tapping on it with a rubber mallet it wont go anywhere i even tired applying pressure to it while using the electric start that didnt help.
the only thing i can think to do would be to take the variator gear that the starter gear is stuck on off then push the starter back into its resting position.
The whole reason i was trying to start it without the cvt cover on was bc the other day while i was riding i heard this vibration at idle and during turns, once i got it home i was listening to where the sound was coming from and it sounded like it was coming from my variator like something was out of balance. the scoot had been started in two days so it didnt want to start this morning then my kick start locked and now this happened.
I was originally just gonna post a video of what my variator is doing but idk if i want to attempt to start it after i get my starter gear disengaged without the cvt cover on.
any suggestions?

well i think i got you all beat i have a 150 dollar espresso machine. I use cafe bustelo the best espresso ever! 4 shots with about equal parts cream and about 2-3 tablespoon of sugar (i know thats a lot but i hate the bitterness) iced and shaken until frothy!
