It could also be bad wires to the starter... The original wires to the starter are normally very weak...

it should at least come to life or react when you spray stareter fluid in it, if everything else is ok...

To bad you don't get it running properly. I had no problem at all after following the manual.
Tuning in ProCal is another thing. One has to have some understanding of all settings in ProCal. You can always ask Matt for guidance. The best was when I had problems I just recorded the log files and sent them over to Matt and he got back with a solution about two days later.

I live in Stockholm Sweden and Scooters are not allowed to park on sidewalks here either, but it would be OK to park a smaller scooter in a bicycle stand. I commute with my scoot and I have a parking in the garage of the building I work in so I have no problem finding any parking.

I think this would work:

The gear is just pressed on the shaft that is all. Now to get it back on you will have to do some hammering to get it back to where it was. You will need a pipe that will fit on the crank and I would use a big washer so the pipe would be hitting the washer and not the gear, then you smack the end of the pipe using a piece of wood on the end of the pipe to hammer on.. To make the gear go on much easier with to much hammering it on Heat up the gear around the hole and then bang it on. Heating it will expand it a hair. Alleyoop When I put the gear back, I just put the gear on the shaft and tighten the variator with the impact wrench (not over tightening). Never had any problems with the gear when I've done it that way.

f you notice, we have a completely different setup. You have the bubble type fuel pump kit. I have the small fuel pump. Check out the new instruction manual which includes routing and hook up of both systems. That explains the splitt of the fuel line... Hopefully Matt can read something out from the log and that it's an easy fix and email you a new data file. EFI kits are great but if there's some problems with the ECU it can be hard to find if one doesn't know what to look for in all possible settings there are. Fingers X-ed so you'll get it sorted out soon! I see that Matt uses the pictures from my install of the EFI kit in his manual

It looks like your fuel lines are wrong! Why this splitt? Looks like it's attached to the injector and the other one where the MAP-sensor should be or to the valve cover. I can't see clearly on your images... This fuel line is not supposed to be splitted, it's supposed to go directly to the injector! This is how the fuel lines is supposed to be drawn: And if you move the MAP-sensor you have to plug that hole on the throttle body. I didn't have any problems mounting the throttle body the other way and it looks like we have the same type of scooter. Here's a link to my install: Wilds Efi kit install

Has anyone tried installing a kit with a catch can ? I have tried a catch can. It worked, but some oil still squirted out of the can! After I changed to new piston rings I had no problems with oil being pushed out of the breather tube.

If it bogs at midrange and high rpm it could be because you set the float wrong, it's starwing for fuel...

Blowing seals and gaskets... You shouldn't get that much pressure in the engine case! To me it sounds like you have bad piston rings.

no offense but whats the point of putting more complicated efi onto an already simple carbed scooter Better throttle response, much better performance, easier to start the engine, easier "tuning of jets"...
