I am really interested in seeing how yours turns out. I just did a lot of re-wiring on mine mostly because of an 11 pole stator upgrade, but also to have the future capability of FI. The thing I have seen that is kind of vague is the throttle cable modification to make it hook up to the throttle body. Did you have to do much with that? The only thing I had to do was to drill the hole (circled with red) on the throttle body to 8.5 mm and then the throttle cable fitted perfectly...

I also felt I needed more light driving in the dark... So I went with two LED CREE-lights and connected them so they work with the headlight, pleased with the result! Comparison:

Have you checked the function of your stator and rectifier? That is where I would start. I second that, especially the rectifier!

I'm running a 150cc engine at the moment. No stroker crank on it yet, but the rest is as in my profile. I'm pleased with the performance as it is now considering it's only 150cc, but you know how it is: We always want more... I don't know yet If I want to spend that much money again to get it back to what it was. We'll see...

Wilds, Let me ask would it be alright if I copied your install and I will translate it to a milder juice and put it in the tech section? If not that is ok as well you won't hurt my feelings Alleyoop It's okay, anything that can help others is good

This is how I use my home made valve clamp:

I'll post a picture of how to use it later today when I get home. It's easier to remove the valves than putting them back without a tool of some sort.

I made my own special tool for removing the valves: easy...

If the piston does not reach all the way up in the cylinder when it is at TDC you could try and remove the spacer and re-check piston position. If it's OK without spacer the chain will not be so tense either. Also check the valve clearance Here's an image of my piston at TDC without the spacer.

I would also recomend an oil cooler. Larger cylinder and more stroke = more compression which creates more heat...
