handle bars arnt alined with front tire
Laid down my vip 49cc aweek ago do to a car not using its turn signal ir slowin to a stop i locked up my breaks to avoid hitting the car and laid down the scooter on the left side. The visor poped off helmet and got 3stiches on my eyebrow medical is being paid by the douch bag but not scooter repairs...so heres my problem the fender behind the wheel is cracked from contact with the wheel. I took off the front fering and relized the left side (disc breakside) of the fork is almost straight and the right side is slanted like normal. Im unsure if the left side of the fork that needs to be replaced or the tree the shocks still work both sides but i have to keep the handlears slight right to go straight. Kinda a pain and unsafe i tried messing with the stem the handle bars go into but a bolt through keeps it in place so no give there. I found the left( disc break) arm on line for 59.99 but dont want to buy it if its the tree or an easy fix.

it seems the left side of the tree(disc break side) is raised up as if when the tree struck the frame it brought it forwards

May need a tree and set of forks as why have a new side with an old side . Replace the tubes in pairs . Scrappys has the best prices and more parts if needed

skuutdawg is more experienced than me
But i dont think i would ride a scoot if the forks
were damaged and just fixed.
id replace the whole thing

You need to be sure the frame is also not bent. Check it all out before you spend any money.

If the angle of the steering head in the frame has been compromised then the scooter is usually considered totalled. If you had a maxi-scooter with a cradled frame your chances would be better. When the steering head get compromised you can end up with wobble similar to a wonky shopping cart during hard braking or even just decelerating so this is not something to take lightly as it can exhibit itself suddenly without warning and throw you from the bike.
Once you get past this if you have not taken the MSF Basic Riders course I highly recomend it especially the swerve and panic stop manuver which teaches you to jog the bike around an obstical with a little hip action so you can do your panic stop beside the obstical in front of you instead of running into it.
Accident avoidence riding habits once they become second nature will get you out of many of these types of situations. It puts you into a mind set where you expect the unexpected and always know where the hole is to escape into when something unexpected comes up. The MSF Basic Riders course is well worth the cost.

I replaced the tree and both forks on a friends scooter after he let a buddy wreck it and it was new again . Yeah Id replace it all to be safe instead of putting it together and going dang it needed everything instead of only a tube

There is a shortcase and longcase set of forks as that body can have 10 , 12 , 13 and 14 inch wheels

I straighten mine back! For $40 I had a friend wreck my scooter ! I could not fine the steering stem anywhere! The plastic panels all seem to pop back into place so I was reasonable sure no frame damage ( are vary minor ) was there! is yours worse than mine was? Attachments:

I'm still stuck on the womans ins covering your medical but not your personal property.
How can that be?
It the accident was deemed her fault, and if she was ticketed, why is she/her ins covering your medical but not covering repairs to your scoot?
And, what type coverage do youhave on the scoot?
I can't imagine full coverage costs that much more than just liability?
But, yea , either way, best to get a new front end
