Well, it looks like it is feeding, but I still can't get the thing to start. The two hoses coming off the intake should be plugged, right??

It's hard to tell from those pics, but it looks like the fuel line goes down, then up, then back down again. If I'm seeing it right, you need to use zip ties to make the entire length run down, never going back up. You don't have enough suction to keep an upward bend full via siphoning, it has to all be downhill.

That's going to be hard to do. The fuel outlet is on the right side and the fuel inlet on the carb is on the left..

Then run it under the carb's air box intake. The only place upwards is ok is that last section going into the carb. If it goes up then back down, no good, down then back up at the end only will be ok.

OK, It should be feeding now, but nothing is getting into the carb. I'll tear it back apart tomorrow and look at the float again. I'm pretty sure that it and the cutoff valve were working fine...

To test if fuel is flowing to the carb. Pull the hose off the carb get a cup and hold it right next to the carbs fuel connector the hose was on and turn on the valve and see if fuel flows. The other thing it may be that the tank is not venting so you can also try loosing the gas cap and see if gas then flows. Also to verify that gas is actually going into the carb bowl get a cup and put the DRAIN HOSE on the carbs bowl in the cup and open the drain open the valve fuel should keep on coming out of the drain hose until you shut the drain screw. Yep. It's got fuel. It still won't start even though it has everything it needs. Spark is good. It's getting fuel. Jets are all clean (I can see light through them).

Ok lets back up a minute here and go for the easy stuff that would cause a no start.
When checking for spark are you grounding the spark plug on the valve cover? If so and it is firing then we need to check for fuel being sucked into the intake from the carb. If not then we need to check for an electrical problem and not a fuel problem .
Lets CHECK FOR FUEL DELIVERY: So Crank the motor over and then take the plug out: Check if it is wet or dry.
Best thing is if you can get a VIDEO of you trying to start it that will help a lot to at least determine which part of the system to check. Alleyoop

Yes, and it is indeed firing. I did what you said, and it was wet.

It is firing and it is WET!! Are you sure you know what firing means? Reason I ask is if the plug is WET usually means the PLUG is not FIRING. If it was firing and attempting to start it would not be wet. Now if it was dry and not firing then we can say no fuel is being sucked into the intake. So you have to be POSITIVE of what your telling us.
Get a VIDEO going of you trying to start we will be able to hear if it is firing or not because it does not make sense.

When I ground the spark plug, I can see it firing. When I pulled it this most recent time, it was wet.
