You know how when you hit full throttle from idle and you hear it rev, then switch. Well this bike sounds like i'm hitting the brake when it switches and the rate of accel is significantly effected. No mechanical noise, just rpm's drop significantly and I hear it struggling.
sounds kind of like when you hit a hill with variator weights too heavy.
I have a pretty good idea of what it is and hot to fix it, I just want to hear ideas.
The problem happened within a period of 1 week.

The clutch

You described a drop in RPM while the clutch going bad would generally give you a significant increase in RPM. Driven pulley not closing could cause this however your initial acceleration would be very bad.

Driven pulley not closing could cause this however your initial acceleration would be very bad. I had a cracked boss in my variator. When I decelerated, I could feel it "stepping down". I guess the boss was being flung open by centrifugal force and was grabbing on the variator bushing. I put a new boss in and it stopped "stepping".

I don't know the specific cause, but whatever it is we can be assured of this: It's Bush's fault.

There is no switching it is not like a manual trans, the excel is constant and smooth as the weights move out pushing the belt up higher on the pulley face. Did you change something, bigger jet or air filter, Variator weights etc.. but it sounds more like a fuel problem and is bogging if the rpms are dropping that much. Also check the diaphgram for rips and or not in seated and sealing good.

The only time I've ever felt the cvt feel like it's shifting is while going uphill with a 2000rpm main spring, it will sometimes feel like it shifts to a lower gear . Other then that it should be a smooth transition .

Other then that it should be a smooth transition . Thats pretty much what i'm trying to explain That shifting into a lower gear is accompanied with a significant increase in rpm not a decrease. Your description is of shifting prematurely into high gear, bogging the engine down and loosing rpm's. That indicates the issue is not slippage. A slipping clutch increases engine rpm and does not reduce it.

Your actually right , when your at idle and give it full throttle the scoot will rev high and as it takes off will somewhat drop off a little . Your sayng yours is significantly dropping off "rpms" . And you have a slow takeoff , right ? . It sounds as if either your clutch pulley is opening way to fast or you belt isn't starting low in the variator . " to high in the variator"
