If from idle you open the throttle it should rev right up and SHOULD not loose any rpms, if it does your setup is wrong. Your problem has nothing to do with your clutch and that already has been mentioned by Rockynv someone who knows how the cvt works. Alleyoop Yes there was a clutch problem ,, it's imposible to say that it had nothing to do with the clutch when we are sitting miles away . We need to be more open to other causes to get the problems solved more efficiently. Nicely wrote

He said his diaphgram was folding down so all we can do is go by what the people say and have them check out that part of the system. I still do not believe it was his clutch to cause his problems but I will leave it at that. If he is a happy camper that is all that matters. Alleyoop As soon as I changed my clutch % of the problem went away, smooth accel. The other 10% went away(Or got masked) When I put on a stock exhaust. When I checked my belt after it broke, it looked pulled apart vs, the normal shredded look. A week prior the belt looked brand new. The clutch was stuck closed and would not open with any amount of force. My old(Spare) clutch opens and closes like it should. All leads point to the clutch failing. I tried different used carbs and diaphragms, and ended up with the same result each time.

Not really. I'm sure other people will come across a problem like this and will see this post and everything I said sums up what I was told to try and what actually worked. Mind you a forum is a place for intellectual discussion about a specific topic
Discusion:
Noun
1.)The action or process of talking about something, typically in order to reach a decision or to exchange ideas. "the proposals are not a blueprint but ideas for discussion"
2.) Consideration of a question in open and usually informal debate

The problem all comes down how a problem is described by the one having the problem because usually the one having the problem is not to mechanically inclined. So what happens is the way the problem is described sends everyone off on a different part of the scooter system.
Takes yours as a good example, saying the Diaphgram is being sucked down. Come to find out due to I believe Rockynv that asked the question if you had the Cover off and you did, so of course the diaphgram will be sucked down. I was wondering how you knew it was being sucked down but I did not ask, many times you have to go by what someone says so as not to make the guy look stupid or embarrass the guy. Happens a lot on any forum not just this one. So we in the know sometimes have to ask many questions to really find out were the problem may be. It all comes down in the detail of how a problem is explained.
That is why many times I ask for pictures when the poster is not making much sense because pictures are worth a thousand words and really helps solve the problem quicker. Alleyoop

Maybe somebody left their listening ears at home. I clearly stated that I revved it up and listened to it, and then I took the cap off and looked at it while I revved it and it sounded the same. You didn't question because your answer was in the post... How else would I see??? Going my what someone says or not its common sense to know you can't see it without the cover removed.(Not to make the previous poster feel "Unintelligent") The only one that did not understand were you. Before I posted I knew exactly what my problem was, and knew it would lead up to you needing to feel "superior" towards everyone else. I said I thought it was my clutch because I knew it was my clutch,. I've have the same problem awhile ago. You think every time I have a problem I post here? Not at all, like ive said before. I bought an old sh*tty scooter and learned how to fix it within a year and now people pay me for fix theirs. I come to this forum to learn and use others ideas while i'm brain storming. Remember I consider advice. I don't take it.

Well taking the cover off and ACTUALLY telling us many times over that it is being sucked in throwing everyone off even Rockynv who is very knowledgeable said well that brings us back to the Diaphragm. And this is a GEM So according to you did all this to call me out is that what this was all about? You don't need to go through all of this to do that just come on out and challenge my knowledge. Just take your current question asking HOW TO FIX MY CLUTCH, you don't even have the proper tools, what a screwdriver and a hammer and you expect people to believe you get paid to fix scooters. You are not ready for prime time, I wouldn't bring a scooter to you to change a light bulb, cause you will find a way to mess that up Alleyoop This is really tiring I think the best thing for me to do is NOT post anything to try and help people and just come on and see if there is any troubles or pissing match's or questions about the forum. I am on ScooterDoc and Professor where we do not have any of this going on and I will just stick to helping people on those two forums and leave whoever on here do their thing. Have fun Ride Safe and keep the wind at your back.

There is no problem with that , I've also posted issues I've had and would say what I thought it was and just wanted to have input from others . And a screwdriver and a hammer is what many use to take the clutch nut off to get it apart .

Sounds like too much pulley movement too fast . Could be s high spot on the variator or a soft spot in the clutch spring .
Does it hsppenbon the center stand ?

It sounded the same each time.... I stopped taking you seriously when you said I don't have the proper tools...Now you in my garage too? lol Like I said the only one that did not understand were you. And actually some mfg list them at a 2 speed auto. when the belt reaches the top of the variator its in a "2nd gear". If the belt were to stay at the top of the variator is would have slow accel, like starting off in a higher gear. Do you really think your important enough to start a post about? You just find the littlest detail to feed off of and blow it up because you have nothing better to do. Maybe I should have phrased it as " Once you posted I knew it would lead up you you feeling the need to be superior.". Now your implying I don't know what i'm doing and people don't pay me.... That's false information based off of nothing at all. And of course this is tiring because you have nothing accurate or relevant to say. If you know whats best for you then why are you telling me? Makes no sense but ok. You simply don't like when someone knows something better than you. Yea your extremely smart and help a lot of people including myself, but i'm not going to sit here and let you post your little irrelevant comments to establish dominance on my post.

Perhaps you did not dig in , I get phone calls with people asking for tech help . If you only changed the clutch as a complete unit and have no intent to look further . I would like to have the clutch to locate the failure . John

Well said , It would be nice to get through a season without being called a liar , and making others believe that we have no clue what we are talking about . Also the fits that are thrown when someone takes our advice instead . This shouldn't become a competition of who knows more " that's a child's game " we should encourage others to help and share their knowledge not try to chase them off " like the many that will not even join the sites because of the ignorance of one .

The problem all comes down how a problem is described by the one having the problem because usually the one having the problem is not to mechanically inclined. So what happens is the way the problem is described sends everyone off on a different part of the scooter system. Takes yours as a good example, saying the Diaphragm is being sucked down. Now let me give you a word from the dictionary:
ASK
1. verb (used with object) to put a question to; inquire of:
2. to request information about:
3. to solicit from; request of:
You posted this thread saying you knew what was wrong but "asked" for people's "opinion" and since you already knew what was wrong you still wanted to go over it, debate it, see if you were right, etc.
Doesn't matter either way but in the long run you didn't seem to like some of the advice you "asked" for thus this conversation or thread has turned into a "pissing" match with no meaning to anyone who really might need some advice on how to fix a problem.
Now if you only consider advice and don't take it then you're for sure head and shoulders above anyone here and shouldn't share your opinion either because here it's simple if you give it then be prepared to take it or don't
"ASK"
