This guy is up for the Darwin Award for sure. He runs over several bikers, twice, and when they finally stop him, they beat him in front of his wife and child: Detailed articleThe bikers come to a stop, and it appears as if some are confronting the SUV driver. At about 50 seconds into the video, the SUV suddenly drives over several of the bikes with riders on them. The bikers begin a 6 minute chase, stopping him a couple of times along the way, and he hits another biker around the 5 minute mark. They finally stop him behind a group of cars, leaving him no escapre. One biker breaks in the window, this is where the video stops, but the action apparently didn't. News reports indicate the SUV driver was beaten in front of his wife and child, and taken to the emergency room afterwards for treatment of lacerations to his face and upper torso. |

That was an organized Squid event where the bikers were harrasing motorists in general. They overtake cages and then surround them in a rolling roadblock threatening them and at times stop them and smash the windows and the bodywork.
These Squids give riders of all bikes a bad reputation and are just a bunch if thugs looking for a confrontation.
They overtook the SUV, cut him off and brake checked him while video taping their "FUN".
If you see one of these events taking place you are best off taking an exit, calling 911 to report the activity of the outlaw bikers and finding an alternative route to your destination. If you find out about an event like this taking place call 911 and report the bikers to the authorities.

This guy was probably trying to protect his wife and child, so what he did is a very grey area! I personally would have tried to drive around them, not over them. Though with screaming passengers, and surrounded by thugs, I can't say what I would have done. |

The odds of this happening to anyone here are extremely small. That being said, what should one do when behind a group of motorcycles?
1-Keep your distance
2-If threatened, don't take the exit ramp onto the streets.You're sure to have to stopped at some point.
Overall, this was a very sad and sick thing to watch

I would have done the same thing....except not get stuck in that traffic! Those punks needed to learn a lesson.

The whole story is: One of the bikers abruptly cut in front of him,causing him to bump the bike. He did stop, and was swarmed by some of the group, who began to bash his windows. Thats when he took off and ran down a few bikes. To me they were punks, not bikers, anddo not deserve any sympathy. He should have backed up and ran down a few more! Guys like that give a bad name to all bikers.

In a case like that, what you SHOULDN'T do is leave a bike standing. Make sure you run em all down so none can chase you!Do donuts. go back and forth hit as many as you can because your life may depend on it

Well I know most consider me a nice guy, but one threatens my family, and all heck breaks loose, my wife/GF will dial 911 while I'm trying to by time for the police to arrive, and they had better get their butts there quick, or people are going to get hurt bad... Very bad..
My wife and kids I draw a very hard line.. I won't run over bikes, I will run over the dam owner's. And the one's I don't run over I will shoot.. Period

I have a hard time believing that guy didn't have a cell phone. I also find it sad that a group that large is willing to do this crap...

I personally would not care, the second one surrounds my car on the Hwy, with my wife and kids in it, all heck is breaking loose. I have a cell phone as do most people, most family's have more than one. |

I get the escape method and have no issue there really I'm not sure how he could have done anything differently. It just seems a call to 911 might of had the Calvary on the way at some point during the 5 minute chase...

But the video doesn't show the entire story only what they did. I have read reports from other newspapers that the car had hit one of the bikers way befor you see it in the video . When he hit the biker they went to chase and that's when you see the video start . The guy stopping I front of the SUV in the beginning of the video is when they first pulled him over after he hit another biker in the first place . How many times has a cager threatened your life with them not looking were they are going ? My ex was going to collage on her honda cb400 once and a car load of ditsy blondes pulled out I front of her causeing her to wreck and total the bike . The ditsy blondes we like ."...oops so sorry we didn't see you ha ha ha ..." And sped away . I have had close calls myself and I have been to many biker rallies and ridden in pacs and have seen to many times the stupid cagers dont even bother to look or claim they didn't see you . Lost a couple friends that way too. Is it right what they did .....well I won't say yes or no but I have been in that situation to often and yes in the old days that happened several times . This isn't anything new ....happened all the time back in the day .....group out for a ride some jack hole causes them to wreck or runs one down and speeds away ...bikers gave chase and took care of business .
