60mm or a 61 ncy kit which is double the price of the 60mm is the biggest you can go without boring the case. I couldnt see paying double for 1mm difference. The stock crank will be fine with 60mm but id upgrade the crank on kits bigger than 61mm. I'm going to run the 60mm kit with domed high compression piston with a ported 58.5mm head, I'm thinking it will perform as good as the 61mm flat top piston with a 61mm head.

[replyingto=tvnacman]tvnacman[/replyingto]The People 250 has big wheels, which my Xingyue also has. Probably fairly cheap from a wrecked scooter.
It is hard to search for specific wrecks. Cycle salvage yards don't seem to be playing online yet.
The BV350 is 330cc: MAX POWER AT SHAFT: 32.8 hp at 8,250 rpm.
A wrecked People or BV would be easier / cheaper than building and boring out to a 232cc max for the GY6B

I have a bored case 3mm stroker crank 62mm ceramic cylinder 30&26 mm valves cylinder head 28 mm Fuel injection EFI-Kit A12 cam Changed final gearing Performance variator Custom built exhaust from Akunar in Thailand Oil cooler 12" wheels
I just found a speed converter and used it since we in Sweden use km/h. These are the numbers i hit with my mods:
I can keep 65-70 mph on flat ground. But as soon as there's a head wind or uphill it drops to 60-65 mph Downhill it hits 75-78 mph. But that is not so convenient...

i heard u cn use a 250 motor on a 150 mount?

massaging the mount to the motor, or to the frame, or who knows without doing it. The 150 motor hangs in the frame with the pivot just behind the intake at the top front of the case..
Have not seen a Kymco or Piaggio motor or mount to compare. But seeing all the clone/copies related to the 16" wheeled scooters, there are a lot of similarities.
Kymco and Honda and Suzuki 150's all start at 15hp and up. while the Xingyue is rated 8.something. They all look like siblings, include the CF-Moto E-charm and BMS Pathfinder
The higher horsepower versions are all liquid cooled. My frame has tabs I am sure are for a radiator, so finding or making one to fit begins with a clone original (Honda?) part.

Steve, my scorer came with drum rear brakes. It came with the center splines hub off center. The rear brake I could not get an adjustment. I converted to disc brakes based on pictures of other 16" wheel scooters.
So I'm very sure it can be done.

Both my Xingyue 16" and Znen 12" have rear disc brakes. The Znen could be converted to drum if needed - (parking brake?) Brakes are easy. Cooling is easy. Finding a donor... I found an SH150i wrecked, looked like it was mostly front end damage, strapped on its side to a skid. In Hawaii. I didn't follow up on the auction, but it was $100 when I saw it, but certain shipping would have been horrible. Found this down in Chicago: chicago.craigslist.org/nch/mcy/3990526243.html

Znen will hit 55mph GPS downhill with little wind is WOT. (The speedometer indicates 70mph!) upjetted 118, 1" header, open muffler, pod air filter. 12Gram sliders - runs better, but hasnt gotten any faster. But I am 235lbs Xingyue hit 66 down a huge hill with a 25mph tail wind, at just over 10Krpm. I was 265 then. Jeepsteve92xj,
We are in total agreement... and I also weigh 235... Depressingly, my factory speedo is right on the money; 52 mph is, well, actually fifty-two... LOL! Without a tail-wind or downhill run, my Xingyue runs out of rice just over 50... Fortunately, that's still enough giddyup to ride in 99% of the places my old butt needs to go... LOL! Wait a minute! I just happened to think... BOTH my speedo AND tach are accurate! I must have one of the 2 or 3 of THOSE China EVER let out of the factory... HeHeHe... REALLY! That IS something to cheer about... These "are what they are" and no more, no less. A big "hats off" to the Vespa boyz though. I have ridden the Missus' doc's new Vespa 150 and am duly impressed. I thought the old "clutch n' gears" 2-stroke Vespa (or Stella) would have been faster than the new CVT tranny 4-stroke, but NO! His new 150 will zip my ample girth right up to 70-72 mph and maintain 65 as easy as a touring cycle. And all that on teensy, skinny 11" front and 10" rear tires. No wobble, no shake, no problem. Only problem is the price. You don't get forged aluminum, uni-body construction, electronic fuel-injection and Ferrari-like quality for a grand. They are the "ultimate" 150 scooter. My problem is that you can buy a FABULOUS, minty, gently-used cruiser, chopper or crotch-rocket for the same money. Oh well, at least our panda-herders have bigger wheels. THAT'S cool... LOL!Leo (chasin' the elusive 55 cruise-barrier) in Texas

I have a 150 auto moto 3 wheeler that i have done no upgrades to and it will run 55 as big as it is with no mods at all. I thought the speeds im seeing with my 2 bikes where the norm with all the upgrades. on my bikes the cvt work done more good than anything. and at top speed on small body of 68 im showing 8300 rpm with tiny tach on big body at top speed of 75 im showing 8500 rpm want to get both bikes down to 8000 at top speed so i probly do 15 and 16 gram mix on big bike where i have all 15 gram in it now

Terrilee has a bone-stock low-end 150 that is police-vascar certified at 68 mph! And, I've met more 3-wheel riders with 60+ mph speed than 2-wheelers! Something about their ATV heritage I think... You're right about the CVT being the big thing here. My Xingyue would do only 45 mph new. I've done all the popular mods, and they all helped. Top speed finally got to 50. Then, I changed the variator to a Prodigy, and got another 1 or 2 mph. I since experimented with roller weights. 13 grams actually gave me OVER 55 mph, but at such a low rpm (under 7K) that acceleration and hill-climbing was poor. 12 grams gave me "rocket" acceleration, but a top speed of only 48 mph at NEARLY 10K rpm. I finally mixed 3 ea. 12's and 3 ea. 13's and THAT has proven the best all-around setup. Acceleration and hill-climbing is good, and top speed is around 53-54 mph at about 8K rpm. In-town surface-street cruising at 35 to 50 mph stays in the "sweet-spot" of 6,500 to 7,500 rpm. Realistically, this is all my Xingyue has to give. I do have a set of 13-gram Dr. Pulley sliders though, and I've heard those sliders are very good, allowing the variator to expand and contract to its MAIMUM potential. To my eye, round rollers simply cannot push the variator all the way open for acceleration, OR allow it to fully close for top speed. The "V" shape of the sliders corrects this. When I get a chance, I'll try them, and I'm expecting some good results. Too busy to get at it for a while, but when I do, I'll make a post. In the mean time, ENJOY THOSE FAST PANDAS..! You have some GOOD ones!Sincerely, Leo in Texas

Xingyue - I am unsure of what is in my 123mm variator. I tried 10gram sliders but went back to original. (No tack at the moment - EFI kit has a DC CDI, and the tach fed off the AC CDI, and I havent figured out where to get a signal now) Znen - remove 17gram rollers and have 12g sliders now. I have sets of 12, 13 and 15 and 17gram rollers. Lawnmower tach, not as snappy to react, but it is stable.
I need to come up with a plan to adjust both CVTs
